Anders..... your GIANT TRIP REPORT was fantastic and much appreciated and was quite a redeemer.... but hey, I'm just one turd of many in the punchbowl. No need to listen to me.
Post as you see fit and if in your heart you don't see yourself as a near continuous political poster who does not really have a dog in the race, can't vote on the passions of which you type, and does not even live in the U.S., then carry on with a clear conscience ;)

Secret probation is thus lifted, and your case has been handed over to HK for a followup review.

While I work on both PCs and Macs, I have a Mac at home and prefer it but I am no expert and I have always found Hardman Knott's (and others) Mac postings to be of considerable help and interest.

So there.

Now back to the scheduled programming.

EDIT

Hey Russ, are you calling me bullsh#t? That does it, the gloves are off and the gauntlet is thrown down. Your place or mine? How about meeting half way (which would put it somewhere on the East Coast I think). ;-)

States Evidence Sample A that the red sweats and denim jacket combo NEVER went out of style. Stone cold pimpn'

Although Ron's lucky he's not getting chased down by the federales or homeland security in that gettup.

Russ, I feel you man.

Quantity does not equal quality.

hey there blowboarder... say, actually, i have worn a similar "get up" as ron has on there...

works very very well for all kind of weather--- a poncho like that sees me through the cold winters (wraps around good to keep the wind out)(can even put a long coat over it to keep the snow off it)... great in spring, before it is too hot, as you can roll/fold the edges back:

turns into a good blanket to sit on, too... neat for all kinds of stuff...

but hey:
now a days, i must agree... you get mighty suspicious looks when you wear one... sad to say... (but i still do use it in winter on occasion---mostly around the cold house now)....

and as to mark's clothes... that was our good ol' california style back then for sure, many a times---yep, was and still is, always great for hitting the road, any kind of weather... (not too good at mix-and-match perhaps) :)

hi neebee...i too had a nice poncho like that, got left in a friends vehicle overwinter and molded beyond recognition come springtime...alas, should have taken better care of it...your brothers combo works because of the mix and match, not despite..cheers!

SO: this weekend i must trek on across town and see my co-worker friend... at LEAST she is on the side of town where the WOODS are and at LEAST i will really feel like i am in the great outdoors again.... (i will even get some home-grown tomatoes, if the deer did not get them first)...

well:
i will let you know how this weekend "wildnerness-kind-of-sort-of turns out... (i will be walking through the trees, but not a rock in site, mind you----however---i WILL keep this picture in mind, goatboysmellz... a good vision is a must, in the great outdoors when one is to-trail...

thanks for the inspiration...
*say, send a trip report if you go climb that thing, okay?

*course, we aint afraid of a "special occasion"---sure dont want to be kicked out of any fun-doings, when we're invited... :)

I'm with Russ. WTF It gets so aggrivating that I have been driven to reply. Never again. Common sense rules from her on. If there were a campfire with ppl bitchin and cryin about this sh#t it must have been cuz they all agree. Russ is right. If you want end all conversation quick like or find yourself suddenly looking at the starts just start talking this crap. I remember the one time me and a buddy got hammered on a rain day (even drank that nasty rose tequila swill) we started talking about religion. Don't remember what we said but everyone went to bed. Embarassing!

HEY Goatboy: Awesome pic! The notch looks totally melted out. I was planning on climbing it late October. Think it'll be in again by then?

Bluering: Season lags nov - feb? Sh#t Late Dec - early Feb is the only time we can ice climb down here in dixie. I know, I know. Most of the posters on here are westies. Last feb I even went to Bishop and climbed around on Cardinal. Course I was the only lunatic out there.

Good one, HK. I was so excited to post it, I didn't pay attention to the page break. That light doesn't seem real.

These webcams are much appreciated. Much thanks to the Yosemite Association for keeping them going and including the climate data.
