Not sure about any gabbing over statistics,
But Spartacus and I did engage in a healthy dose of "rope talk" on the way down from Lumpy Ridge.
Where was Wootles when we needed him?

True true! There was talk about XTME analysis, Stata version 10 and other exciting stats stuff. COOL!
It was great finally meeting Larry and the Rocky Mountain crew. You were missed Wootles - one of these days we WILL cross paths. :)

Wot a cool picnic that was.
Major fun meeting all you online legends, I had good conversations with pretty near everyone ...
Phil, Ray, Eric, Tom, Callie, Dave, Bruce, Julia, Bob, Keith, Buggs ... who's that leaving out?
Oh yeah, Roy, who brought everyone together.
If you weren't there, you probably got talked about!
Everyone else posted good pictures, but here's one not seen yet. I thought it was sweet.

Some climbing even happened. Goatboy took this nice shot the day before, on the West Buttress of
the Bastille. I hadn't done the route in 32 years, but strangely still remembered the moves. Wootles
might notice that his rope made the trip, even though he didn't.
By coincidence, we ran into my old friend Roger on a belay ledge halfway up. Roger and I haven't seen
each other in 31 years, and it took a few moments for recognition to set in.

The next day, Tarbuster and I met the Cosmic Banditos at Lumpy -- another place I ain't been since the 70s.
We all hiked out towards the book-crags.
I had it in mind that we ought to climb Fantasy Ridge, just because I never had. Tarbuster thought
that might be a fine idea. Here he is stylin' pitch 2.

I got pitch 3, which felt pretty cosmic, turning corners and thin cracks right up the edge.

From the top, grand views and a scrambly, not entirely hassle-free, descent.

Right on! The pic of you, Larry, on the West Buttress skyline and the last one of Tarbuster (what a smile tells) are fantastic!!
and, I have to admit, talking multilevel mixed modeling with stata sounds fun :)

L names for group shot you asked about are as follows left to right. Bruce, Keith and Buggs (the Old Trad Dads of the Cozmic Bandito expedition) Eric, Phil, Logan, Dave, Cali, Julia and Spartacus.
Is it just me or is Tarbuster one of the most photogenic SuperTacos around? Great smile man!

Yes Ray, another stellar gathering with lots of fun people!
A couple shots from Lumpy Ridge,
The view across the way to Mount Meeker and Long's Peak:
And the verdant meadows below Lumpy Ridge:

Two of the more popular crags, The Book to the right, and The Bookend on the left,
Fantasy Ridge, the route Chiloe and I climbed, is marked:
Spartacus charging up the route!
