I hope you live up to that Lois. More people in this country need to stop just automatically voting the party line.
You bring up another interesting point. The republicans are seen as strong, yet most of them ducked serving in the military. I have not been able to understand that one. And it isn't just Bush and Kerry in juxtapostion. Not that I believe that serving in the military is a requirement, its just that it has always struck me as funny. Sort of the same thing as your feeling that the Dems are whiney. It doesn't fully wash.

Thank you, Locker. That is my intention with most of my replies to LEB's posts: Laughing at her elitist condescension. I also find the beating-around-the-bush namby pamby "I'm a nice woman--you're not" malarky wonderfully tedious.
So in LEB's opinion, any guy on ST that agrees with me in any way is suddenly enamoured of the Non-Nice-Non-Goddess, and "if that's the type of woman you're attracted to, well, you better look at all your divorces and previous unsuccessful relationships and figure out that YOU have a problem."
This would be an hysterical assumption on LEB's part if it wasn't so very sad...sad in terms of her projection and denial.
This is a woman who does not climb, has never climbed, will never climb--living day and night on a CLIMBING web site forum and talking about everything and anything as long as it has NOTHING to do with climbing. While her life is lived on the Internet, her fist-pounding, perpetually-yelling perfect husband snores in front of the television, or possibly is in the other room having his little affair online.
Yes Lois, we all notice how much time and at what time you're on SuperTopos. That's just part of the Forum--observing little things about the people you're chatting with. No one here cares in the least about your Internet habits--but we do notice these things.
So you don't like me because I'm direct. Well, I can see where that would upset a person like you. I, on the other hand, kind of like you, despite your foibles. Like Fatty, Woody and JDF, you bring variety to this Forum--it would be bloody boring without the variety.
I have to admit one thing though: Trying to have a battle of wits with you is like fighting an unarmed man. You're propped there armless and legless--like the Black Knight--and you keep begging for more. It just isn't that much fun after a while.
PS. Where IS that Super Troll Fatty hiding? His little one-liners aren't what we want from him.

Nita, you know how sexy a good sense of humor is, don't you? And being able to roll with the punches and still laugh at yourself? Well, Locker's got both departments covered.
Plus, LEB/Lois said that since he agreed with me once on ST, he MUST see me as "his sort of woman"--an attraction that has ruined his life many times in the past, it would seem. So, because of the high esteem we hold the non-climbing nurse in, we thought we'd try a little virtual hanky-panky.
I mean, you saw his Blonde Troll, didn't you? And his really nice equipment. Tell me you wouldn't want to make LEB/Lois' fantasy come true and play with his keyboard a bit...
