Funny how the world changes.

We built a password system way back in the dark ages (mid seventies) that was an algorithm based on today's date.

The password changed everyday and the "Manager" just had to know the algorithm (and today's date) :)

Cannot remember the length

Edit:

And yes we could change the algorithm periodically

But if we told ya
We'd have to kill ourselves

where ya want this killin' done

The Target breach occurred when they got in through a phishing email to an employee of the Target's HVAC contractor. And then got a hell of a haul of c/cards for a sizeable chunk of the US.

Who knows what wormy slithering gets a hacker into the holes they slither through. I don't see why anyone is suggesting taking normal safety steps to protect their site is unreasonable. There IS potential breach of the levy for RPU guy's daily bread site, which may well be a more attractive target, and that might be why he wants to keep the lid screwed down on the worm jar.

I hope to see climber's on this site, including those who've hung it up and are considering checking out of the online community.

The knowledge gathered by thousands of years of accumulated time in the mountains and on the rock and shared to others has been invaluable to many on Super Topo! Redpoint may be a vehicle, who knows?

I like the redpoint interface the best so far out of all the other options. I think I'll give it a go...
