The wording is confusing because to be great again you can't be great now but once its fixed and we are great....
I am younger than most here and the trumpkins have taught me that probably my whole life America was not great.

Things may well be about the same for you, especially if you've never had to worry about getting a job. So I suppose if that's your criterion to evaluate the state of the world, you don't really need to post on here or pay attention to anything else, just see how you feel and then you can evaluate the president and the state of the world and anything else I suppose.
But for lots of people, things are looking up. African American unemployment near all time lows, markets near all time highs, ISIS seems to be inflicting less misery on the world than in the past, Supreme Court's looking good . . .
Lots of positive things happening, but now's not a time to get complacent of course.

I see it went from 4.7 to 4.1 since Trump. wow big change. What numbers are great/not great or is the whole greatness thing bullsh#t?
It's all about momentum.
Obama didn't do a terrible job by any means, but he was kind of a downer, and things were stalling a bit.
Trump's basically lit a fire under a lot of people's arses, whether they like him or not. Basically energized things. You can see it in the economy (well maybe you can't if you're not in the labor force, guess you have to take my word for it a bit, but trust me, for those who need (or want) jobs now, things are really looking up.
And for those who live high off the hog from investments and want to keep the tax bill "right sized," things are really looking up :))

Things were already up blahblah and the fools went and stimulated an already growing economy at the peril of larger deficits and more debt- complete idiocy! It was timed to boost GDP right before the midterms. The wheels will come off in a year or two- guaranteed.
I've been in both the labor force and as a business owner for about three Republican versions of the same song- it always ends bad for the people in the cheap seats. So quit giving a narcissistic, treasonous pig credit for signing a budget that he almost torpedoed several times through complete ineptitude- and that's with a Republican House and Senate.
By the way, Obama was for lowering corporate taxes as long as the middle class got a substantial and permanent tax break. The Republicans wouldn't go for that so instead the Republicans gave middle-class a temporary and vanishing tax break that will turn into a tax increase in the next few years while billionaire's will have permanent and unfunded tax cuts (unfunded until they take your social security and Medicare)-winning!

Discussion about the economy is DISTRACTION.
The most important discussion should be about how Putin and Russia have infiltrated the election process, and perverted it to put Their Man in power.
Trump is a Russian asset, in the sense that he does what Putin wants him to do.
The Republicans in Congress enjoy that Putin's man is in power. Their policy is to move power from the people to moneyed oligarchs.

As if a person can't be concerned about China AND Russia.

No, Jody, the true danger is the division in our own country. We can argue and bitch all we want, us Americans, but at the end of the day we are nothing if we cannot unite to uphold the proud truths (including freedom of the press and free speech) upon which western democracy and the US are based, against all enemies, be they white brown yellow red green purpple etc.
Note that "western" in this space means NOT Russia and NOT China. So yeah, you're like half-right. Ok, three-quarters wrong. But I kinda agree with that 1/4 of you.

Nobody is trying to destroy Trump, he is well qualified to do that on his own. The Mueller investigation is merely trying to get to the truth, and quite frankly Donald is acting like a guilty man. What is so hard about sitting down for an interview and telling the truth. Where was the outrage when Benghazi was going on? We survived that nonsense, and incidentally work is in progress to make legislative changes. I am proud to say that I had a small hand in driving Darrell Issa out of office. Flippin' the 49th in 2018 baby!!!!!
