Having taught AP English language for several years, I must say that you have provided no evidence that the quote you provided indicates that it’s writer is in favor of the imposition of censorship; it could be quite likely that the writer was suggesting that satirists merely consider the intellectual capacity of their intended audience.
Unfortunately, your effort to again tar a liberal with the Maoist brush only serves to again illustrate your own biases and/or lack of reading comprehension.

As in the pronoun, its? AP English teacher?? Really??? Yikes!
We should also discuss redundancies and proper use of the semicolon.

I suppose an occasional grammatical error was bound to occur when I switched to a career as an ED RN 10 years ago.

After re-reading my post, I was going to change the first “provided” to “produced,” but then I saw you’d already quoted me.
Go ahead and try to make a case against my use of the semicolon. I could use the laugh.

A period or a dash would be more appropriate. I don't believe your independent clauses are closely related--especially since you mixed subjects with a comma in the first. If you were one of my students, I would have noted it--but not marked you down.
Still, seriously, you claim to have been an "AP English teacher" and you don't know it's from its? I hate to be a skeptic, but I have doubts about your resume.
No matter, my real complaint is with your political thought and the way you present it.

I often intentionally misuse the semicolon, but not in that instance.

Trump is a genius. He can keep this momentum going by giving huge tax cuts every 6 months and enacting more tariffs. Brilliant.
In Trumps prior life he would sell his stock and leave someone else holding the empty bag. Not an option when you are president.

She's well south of Donald Trump intellectually. (And I don;t think the president is very smart.) Impossible. My dog has a greater attention span and intellect than Trump. Also, if you think he's not smart, why do you continually defend him against the obvious and justified criticism?
Also, no one is trying to shout the other side down (unless this is a rally of Trump supporters in Charlottesville). This is a discussion. Offering competing points of views is not equal to shouting down, unless you consider everything but an echo chamber the equivalent of shouting down.

The economy is more then just a number. Boom and bust cycles are not good for the economy/nation. They are great for people who have the money to speculate. Not good for the average worker. Steady growth is what is good for the average worker.

Don't forget George Habash. A Christian, he was founder of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and the foremost proponent in the PLO of the use of terrorist tactics.
