johntp, hope you've been good this year! I got my person.
I've been very bad this year. I was even known to be caught running with scissors and late on paying bills (I've got the cash but just got tired of writing checks).
Wonder who your giftee is? I'll bet they like avocados.

Hmmm. This gets more interesting. It appears from scoping the forum my giftee is fairly affluent. A $20 gift card to Starbucks isn't going to cut it. Not that I'm saying it needs to be an expensive gift, just something with a little more thought based on what I have on hand.

I am excited! A large, flat package arrived today. Is it stocks or bonds? Is it squashed cookies? is it a cardboard house that I must cut out and put together? Is it the Declaration of Independence, or an illustrated "Night Before Christmas? Is is something from the mountains?
I will exercise my patience and leave it with the rest of the wrapped parcels until at least Christmas Eve. To my Secret Santa in Cali, here is your first thank you. I'm sure I'll be sending more after I open it. I am really delighted to have this, as I sit here at my desk looking at two other Taco Secret Santa gifts, hanging above my desk. Could it be ART???
We will all know in just 12 or so days. This is exciting.
Thank you Secret Santa!
feralfae
PS, I've sent mine to along too. It is two presents, but sort of a matched set, wrapped in off-season paper. But useful to take into the mountains, and useful for all occasions. *<twinkles>*

But, but . . . it doesn't smell like fruitcake at all. I did try sniffing the package, just to see if there were any hints for my nose. So, no, I don't think it is fruitcake.
But now I am hungry.

I got a delivery!
First time I ever got a gift this early.
I took a little peek inside, but couldn't tell if it was wrapped, so I taped the box back up.
I'll find out in ten days.
I don't know if I have ever BEEN, this happy.
I feel like a man with a $10 shine on a $3 pair of shoes.
To put it in the words of Mike Tyson:
I'm etthhtatic, theriously.
Thank you SS!
PS : to my recipient, your gift is wrapped, so you can open now.

Mine is on the USPS sleigh as of 12/16.
It has but a short distance so I am confident on a Monday/Tuesday delivery.
