That big boulder shot from Handsome B is awesome. Oftentimes you don't get a real sense of the size of the things people are on, but that one surely does give the feeling. It almost looks like the boulder is in motion, ready to roll over and squash those guys....

Nope didn't make it last fall, but I am going to try to go next month. Should have a 400 2.8L IS by then, and just got a 5d as well. So, some new toys to play with, and I have been wanting to go there in the winter for awhile. Cold though!

Will try to. Hopefully do some wildlife and maybe a little bit of landscape.
Not a climbing image, but one with the 5d and my 15mm Fisheye.

Some from the past weekend up in the Dacks.
Powerplay
The rest were taken by Greg Darda.
The approach to the Upper Tiers, Poke-O-Moonshine
Cleaning up a little

Pulling the lower crux - coming out from the little ice alcove and pulling up.
Finishing up the steep upper section. Though you can't see it in the photo, the entire upper column was hollow in back, and barely connected at its base, though it grew thicker up top. Even without touching it, it was groaning and creaking, and there was a good sized crack running the circumfrence of its base. I think I was more scared belaying than my boyfriend was climbing!

I did eventually manage to hang, squeal, whine and get my butt hauled up the bottom of the route (pull around an overhang? Upper body strength? Me?). The upper section should have been no problem but boy was I pumped. The screaming pukies brought tears to my eyes. Evenings were spent getting drunk and playing with sharp pointy things. Always a good idea, right?
