Hey Survival,
The very first time I heard JDale's name mentioned was from the late Rob Hall. We use to joke about how a farmer from the deep south was over in Yosemite mixing it with the best of them.
Do you have any pics from the POW climb you could possibly post?

That's cool Avery I understand your motive, & know you are being genuine. As for taking a hammering, my only advice would be as to monitoring how you wear your heart on your keyboard & how serious you choose to take things online. I always enjoy your photos & climbing content. Cheers.

dumb people should have their face cut,

what do you think brings in people and sells add time, TR's or the parking lot meeting?

don't know of anybody who died reading ST posts,
hear about a lot of people getting croaked while climbing,

so which is worse, reading ST or climbing?

are you a moderate drinker or a real alcoholic with a wet brain?

are you on crack?

are your grandchildren mutatated?

I tell you brother, it's all true. There was John Dale climbing Tangerine Trip, with an Italian that didn't speak English, and then climbing the Pacific Ocean with me and Bob Williams. There were CRAZY nights at the Mountain Room Bar, trying to figure out where the money was coming from, and who was going to pay for the next stolen round.

Brother, I'm telling you it was the best of times. John and I fixing pitches while we mistakenly let Bob buy the wall food. We ended up with Sarah Lee Cakes, and a half case of Coca Cola. Luckily there was enough weed and cigarettes to go around. This was before Bob found Jesus and was born again.

Intense, beautiful and fun, all the way around. One of the best moments was when John finished the big hook traverse up high, found a good crack, and screamed "This crack's gonna get as#@&%es".

Avery, I hope I can find some pictures for you, but I make no promises.
Find John and he will confirm everything I have to say.
Peace,
Bruce

Thanks Ryan, it's all good advice. I probably need to pull back a bit. If I replied to every clown on supertopo I would never leave the keyboard.
Cheers.

Thanks Survival, you described that 70's/80's Yosemite scene so well I can almost taste it.
