If you carry a gun in your home to confront pop&serve biscuits,
Would you then carry a gun in New Orleans in case you ran into a baguette?
A French loaf in San Francisco?
A bagel in Greenwich Village?
A loaf of Dave's Killer at Costco?
A cornbread in Terlingua?
Would this be patissier profiling?
Donuts aren't bad, there's just some bad donuts.
Then a few years down the line, your daughter brings home a croissant from college.

Sorry, I stepped out to go to the supermarket and while I was in the produce department I took a leek.
It is really great that so many of you have led such charmed lives, but history repeatedly shows us that there is a potential for a breakdown in civility. In such a time my preps will have yielded the most potential, but even just looking at it from an economic perspective, my ordnance has proven to be a great investment.
And then there is the recreational benefit.
These days I get out more for shooting than for climbing, and while my best climbs may be behind me my tightest groups could still be ahead of me.
Do I keep a roscoe at the ready if something goes biscuit in the night?
Do you have to ask? REALLY?

If you can't beat them, join them, I suppose.
You can't ban poor judgement, so in response, you propose an idea that doubles-down on poor judgement.

Their flames carry NO HEAT John.. I on the other hand carry heat..I have bathed in heat. And youll NEVER see me in the news as a VICTIM.
That's what I'm sayin'.....you'll be in the news as the PERP, who killed in innocent homeless woman.

They MOST DEFINITELY felt threatened by me Locker. You see i dont like what they do to women there. Not one bit. ANd when a friend was involved, i went to bat. Twas a scene only a natl lampoon movie could do justice to.
This is exactly the problem: A person who has a friend who is being treated illegally would call the police.
BUT, a person with a gun feels empowered to become his own lawman, and take the law into his own hands, threatening people, probably WITH his firearm.
In this scenario, Rong was the PERP, assaulting a perfectly legal business owner in the course of his legal business.
And that is what any conservative business owner would tell you.
Rong feels that he can break the law anytime he feels like it, because he is "special".....just like the liberal children he complains about....

Wow.
Talk about agitated.
But when it comes to this thread my friend, you started it.
However, I would be willing to bet that I could shoot a biscuit off the head of a homeless woman at 50'.

A) if i was a perp, then WHY wasnt i arrested? Why werent the cops called?? Why Ken ,, why..? ;-)
If the business was doing something wrong, why weren't they arrested, instead of VIGILANTE RONG going out? Why weren't the cops called? Why Rong? Why?
:)
Where did the homeless woman come in? Rong, you hear a noise in the night, you have NO IDEA who may be out there! It may be your local tweeker, or it may be a homeless person going through your trash looking for food.
When you go out there, they don't know who you are, they may not even be able to see you very well, as most homeless don't have good vision insurance. Raising their hands, holding something that you mistake for a gun in poor light, with you nervous as hell, may result in their execution.
And you will be the perp. And you will say, just like you are saying on this forum: I HAD NO IDEA THAT AN OLD HOMELESS WOMAN COULD HAVE BEEN OUT THERE.
That's always what they say, Rong.

So yer saying,.. what? .22 CBs?
Ken, if there is a person going thru my trash in the middle of the night, he is already trespassing, and if he holds something I mistake for a gun and shoot him then we are BOTH victims and the law recognizes it.
Tragic?
Definitely.
But the solution is giving the guy a job, not denying people a constitutional right.

I calculated the ballistics and at 130 grains each, traveling at 600 FPS they were certainly approaching lethal parameters. I further suggest a petition to the Pillsbury company to put these ballistic warnings on their product packaging. They are selling EXPLOSIVE containers of lethal DOUGH without so much as a watchout.. There should be limits as to how many cylinders of dough one can buy too. And AGE requirements should be set at 21 to purchase DOUGH cylinders. Perhaps a cool down waiting period should also be explored here.

Toker V,
CB Longs fired in a bolt-action rifle are quieter than any air-gun I've ever heard.
All you hear is the hammer dropping, and the bullet hitting whatever it hits.
Range isn't all that great, though, unless you're good at estimating bullet drop.

Well they have some new air guns with suppressors that have the advantage of being yard legal.
(and I'm entirely familiar with CBs)

Ron:
Given all the risk assessment(?)
Why didn't you just put your lady quietly under the bed
Watch what was happening from the CCTV set-up within your room
From behind the secure bedroom door you had installed
AS the alternating bright/dark lighting you had installed kicked-in to disorientate potential intruders
AS you waited it out for the cops to arrive
Who you had built an affinity with
By going to great efforts to build a strong relationship
There are some pretty handy-men
Who get to wear there hair long
The more capable of them are more inclined to do the above
In their own homes
Than wave a gun around at shadows
They know they could stop one-guy pretty straight-forward
But to then stay awake every night beyond
Wondering when dead guys mates are going to show-up for some comeuppance
Hard to understand how you would be effectively
Run the whole Cooper's colors thing throughout your everyday
Going from sleepy-head
To 'Situation-ly alert' enough to make the best call
Whatever the prior training
Maybe time to put others plans ahead of the gun
You probably don't need the stress
