I think you would be well advised to go to Norwegian TV for XC coverage.

Watching Olympics on-line, need help:
I bought the $30 Satellite Direct internet service. Downloaded their app. and it won't play continuously, stops n' starts. I've got flash player 12.0. which does not have the "Enable/Disable Hardware Acceleration" setting. Adobe Flash questions page explains they removed the setting in this version and plan to put it back in future. Any idea, anyone?

Awesome .. thanks. No Problem..am registered so have full access.

Maybe I'll get to see another American win the DH.. last one was a guy I actually skied with a bit and his brother was a friend. Nothing can beat that.

Noticing that moguls are still using pretty straight skies..

Not the place to get locked into a carve for sure.

Nyman.. couple bobbles, didnt hurt to much, Decent run.. not good enough I think..Much better than practice.

MAN everyone is looking so much better in real race than in practice.

Ganon USA .. solid run.. But best yet to come

France gets first DNF

Temps on lower course may becoming an issue.

Bummer... pushed so hard up top..

Snow is getting slower on lower mountain.

Didnt do himself any favors opening up on the jumps...

Ganong may hold on to Bronze in these conditions..

lol noticed thaT

Svindal edges it out for Bronze.

I suspect that is it..not likely any more challengers for top 3 ..

Lower mountain deteriorating.

One American left.

heh was wrong an impessive top was enough to hold through bad bottom conditions for a new 2nd Innerhoff

Bottom part of the course is toast. That is what you get with coastal mountains with palm trees at the bottom. Should have started the race earlier.

Defago might have won if he started earlier, Nah Inerhoff would have won by far..both screwed by changing snow conditions.

So what do people think about the change in rules in the Olympics that allowed professionals to enter? I understand that it was in response to the way many communist countries treated their athletes, but there is just something about it that bothers me. To me an amateur athlete is hungrier for the gold then many professionals. The Shawn White incident comes to mind. I believe we have to support out amateur athletes, but the full on professionals don't belong.

Not sure where you draw the line. No sponsorship allowed? No Scholorships? Just gotta eek it out on your own and sponge off friends or family? Not allowed to make a living off what you love to do while the competition organizers make millions?

I want to see the best. Shawn Whites can add or detract from the games.

Like any individual athlete.

The vast majority of athletes here really are amateurs. Little chance of winning from nations many could not identify on a map. Fine youngsters experiencing the time of their life. Inspiring their towns and nations.

This spirit means the world to me.

Have a blast kids. Its a rare time you can never quite have again. Live it.
