Cops hate free thinking climbers because they generally have IQs in the 80s and have no critical thinking skills.
Riley the fact that your re worded version contains he same ambiguity really astonishes me. I was out to troll you at first, but now I am wondering who has the IQ 20 points below the median...
Has anyone ever told you that you are like a little dog with a sock?

speaking of "bumper stickers"!
how about this as a bumper sticker...
except, instead of dog, put cops, or judge!
"Never mind the cops, beware of owner."
edit: its the only type of intervention that some types heed too!
edit: methheads are EVERYWHERE here. I have had my truck broken into and rampaged 3x in as many years. the last time the took a brick and put it through my drivers window. since I had beefed up the entrance from my campershell which was the way they got into it the other 2x!
AND, someone would have taken my truck by now, except we are in a locked and gated complex!

buy a lockbox for the bed. i do have a bolted down tool box/lockbox on my truck! its kinda the norm these days. but around here, where i come from, they take the whole damn truck! and deal with the lockbox later and at their convenience!

all the lockbox can do is help keep honest folks honest.
best any of us can do is make it easy for folks to do the right thing.
and keep the ammo dry.

A sentence which, read literally, is ambiguous as to whether it is the police or the climbers who have IQs in the 80s and no critical thinking skills. You may have meant the police, but that's not what you said.
As for the doughnuts, even I know it's spelt Krispy Kreme, in yet another fine example of corporate mis-spelling. I've never been in one of their stores, but heaven knows there's enough of them around.

A republican and a Tool lover.
Why are all you authoritarian minds so predicatable?
Riley you area fool.
Where when have I ever professed an allegiance to a political party?
You state as it is a matter of fact that in general cops have an IQ below 80?
You call me a "tool lover" probably because I said my wife is a ex cop?
FWIW she is the smartest, fastest and most brilliant person I know, and I'm no slouch....

He has traveled all around the world shooting vids with Mike Hoover & Bev Johnson, etc, also!

Umm, I believe that Kris said his wife is an ex-cop, not that his ex-wife is a cop.
Being the husband of a former Sacramento PD officer, I fully agree with your sentiments.

Munge, It actually wasn't too crowded there this weekend. We got on every route we wanted too with no wait except for maybe 5 mins for toe jam. But the park was packed with tourons and it looked like a city at night.

You punctuated that sentence incorrectly!
FWIW - Last year when Swanky was limping badly, I got him from Indian Cove to the lot between JT Saloon and Coyote Corner. I was afraid to go any further for fear of a stall, he was bucking that wildly(It was fuel-related; not electrical).
I spoke with a few people and they suggested all manner of weapons, defenses. I said "Well, I will lock all the doors, sleep in clothes(usually I don't, but in situations where I think I may get woken up and need to interact with someone, I do), and keep my cel phone on."
I was a little worried, since I had heard all the animals, sick and venal, come ut at night in Joshua Tree.
Not a peep. Not so much as someone walking too closely to the van.
That's not to say stuff doesn't happen. Obviously it does. I don't like leaving the van to go into the park, especially if Teddy has to stay inside. When I have a library day, I park in the shade and that road would be an easy spot for someone to whom opportunity is presented. I make sure nothing except maybe water bottles and reading book is showing - everything else is stowed. And I come out and check on him. Swanky looked like death warmed over, and I think a lot of Californians thought the rust was contagious like Leprosy or something. Hopefully Swifty(new van), who is rust free looks innocuous enough so as not to taunt the desperate.
But there is no WAY I would leave ANY THING in an open truck bed. Not even a gas can.

It is so easy to say F&^k the police, but when they come to save your ass. When they show up to deal with the insane psycho guy everyone is too afraid to approach, yeah... I bet you are happy they are there to take care of the garbage. Yes, they are difficult people, but what do you expect? When my best friend who is a sheriff has to deal with at least two rapes a week. A murder every two weeks, a domestic abuse call two times a week. A child abuse scene every week. A death at a car accident almost everyday. (I am not exaggerating.) When she has to pick up the same criminal over and over again, she and many others like her are not in a good mood.
Especially when they have to deal with some whinny ass who is throwing attitude.
I will never say F*&^K the Police. "I thank the police." I know what they deal with everyday and I sure as heck am happy they are doing it instead of me.
So yeah, when I hear someone cussing out the police. It pisses me off. It says that the person doesn't give a damn beyond themselves and doesn't notice anything else beyond their little desires. Wake up, grow up, the world is a big scary place and the only reason you don't have bars in your window, don't need a gun to walk safely into town is those damn police.

It is so easy to say F&^k the police, but when they come to save your ass blah blah blah
Yeah that's a nice summation of the pro-cop line.
Problem is, very few of us have ever had our ass saved by the police, or ever will (and this is regardless of whether our ass may in fact need saving). On the several occasions I've been a crime victim and reported it to the police (house burglarized twice, car broken into), I've got a "why are you bothering us, and how dare you expect us to even pretend to be interested" reaction. And this is in the lovely town of Boulder, so don't give me the-cops-are-shell-shocked-from-all-the-horrors-they-see line. (Boulder cops rate significantly above average in friendliness IMO, so I don't mean to pick on that dept.)
I treat cops with respect on the few occasions I interact with them, which generally seems to be falling into a speed trap once a year or so aside from my occasional victim status. But I don't have a particularly high respect for their line of "work" (if you can even really call it that). Oh, and they're insanely overpaid, at least in some jurisdictions. And even that's not enough for some of them:
