I've never met a stupid climber (well almost never) but I sure as hell have met a lot of ignorant ones. That said I admired FT not for his positions which I almost always disagreeed with but the simple fact he was unsensored in a forum that is more to my point of view. He challenged my perspective which as a business owner, father, husband and voter I appreciated.
Indeed we are all growing and I hope those who disagreed with FT will at some point appreciate that such diversity is healthy. If we all could accept those we disagree with then the polarization we feel from our town meetings to the national scale would allow that space for us to truly deal with the issues.
FT would be welcomed in my home, not because I agree with him but he spoke what was true to him. I'm willing to bet we'd agree on many of the values we would discuss, the issue is how we get there that's where things would get interesting. FT if you find with yourself in ST excile in the vincity of the Highway 50 Trench drop me a PM, I'd share a rope with you but please just don't be an a$$hole!

Awwww..... I don't spend as much time here as some folks apparently do but I found him usually true to what he believed.
I appreciate honesty even if I don't agree with it.
I think some people just have very thin skins... That's too bad.

NICE end Philo! Gotta love the back dimples.
I don't mind Fatty in RL, have had a few good talks with him over the campfire.
But when he gets on here, he has nothing to contribute. Too bad because the man does have a brain.
Now if we can shave a few more we will be in good shape. Overall it's been better here since the hammers started dropping IMO. Just my 2 cents.

When an individual is banned, sadly, for heckling, demonizing, name calling, denouncing and/or accusing other members...we wonder why others with similar offending behavior …are not held liable.
It’s a positive that management here is sensitive to the feelings of the forum body…but a negative when mob rule can accord immunity to forum pets, darlings and "idols of the people" who also misbehave
(…while that mob rejoices in postmarking of the wee less adored into the wilderness.)
