1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (KJV)
"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders, nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."
Yes, we all sin and fall short of the glory of GOD.
But there is forgiveness. You have to sincerely ask for it with a true repentant heart. GOD knows your heart and mind. You can't fool him. True repentance means you are so sorry that you turn away from the sin you have been committing so as not to do it again. You will fall again, but there is forgiveness. This forgiveness is available to us through Jesus Christ, The Lamb of GOD sacrificed for our sins. He loves us that much. Jesus took the punishment for us. That is true eternal love.
When Jesus forgave, he often would say, "You're sins are forgiven you, go and sin no more." That is what he expects of us. We will fall. We will fail. But we can get back up and continue on with GOD's grace and forgiveness.
But to inherit the Kingdom of GOD you have to stop doing it. You can't do this on your own. You need GOD's help. You need GOD living in your heart to stop sinning. You need GOD living in your heart to become Christ like.

Wasn't the current bible manipulated over the years, thus rendering it to a state that is more parable than something to be taken WORD BY F*#KING WORD!

Parable dude. Get laid, go for a run, breathe, breathe some more, read something outside your comfort box with an objective mind. Draw your own conclusions, breathe three times, and then check back.

I wouldn't say the original language of the Bible has been monkeyed with much. It's actually a pretty decent historical record. The translations, however, can leave one wondering about what, for example, the original Gospels, written in Greek, actually said. Just the side by side examples of the King James and New translations of 1 Corinthian 6:9 provided by Klimmer, and the pretty big differences between the two, make one rightfully wonder.
Perhaps Shakespeare put it best in Merchant of Venice, 'the devil can quote scripture for his purpose.'

I'm sure Obama's team had surveys and studies that said it wouldn't be a major risk for him to 'come out'. He'll fire up the gay and liberals and the haters wouldn't vote for him anyway.
What's funny is Romney comes right out and says he doesn't support equal rights even if it's not called marriage. AND reports of him harassing gays in high school come out at the same time (he is lying when he says he doesn't remember these episodes OR his memory is so bad he can't remember holding down and cutting someone's hair off in which case he doesn't have the mental faculties to be prez anyway), so any advantage Mitt would have got out of it he lost.
It's always revealing how people pick and choose what to believe out of the bible to justify their bigotry.
Leviticus 20:13
"If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. "
They'll say the bible is clear that homosexuality is wrong, but most of them won't say let's put them to death but it's clear in the bible. So many things in the bible they clearly ignore, but latch on to something that justifies bigotry. Despicable.
And you'll notice Leviticus only talks about men with men.
As Sam Kinison said "The bible says a man shall not lie down with another man. But a woman with a woman...
We'd all like to see that."

paganmonkeyboy can start any kind of thread he wants to as long as he gets one of them helmet cams and starts posting his races so that we can all root him on.
Maybe he could even sell taco subscriptions to raise money.
the fastest go cart I drove topped out at about 60 mph. Still a heck of a lot of fun. I don't remember the name of the track but it was down near riverside raceway. We use to go to the races there and then go drive carts. 4 wheel drifting.. wooot

What harm is there in letting same sex couples have a civil union?
Marriage is between the church.
I guess the libs / gays can take it up with the GOD, but Klimmer is making it pretty clear that you're blood is going to be shed all over the floor if you lay with a man as a man. So...

this thread has remained reasonably sane. If you whack it, someone else will just start a gay marriage thread with a snide title and the crazies will come out in force. The topic is pertinent.
Edit" I see what you mean about covering the fraud. I don't think Obama would knowingly throw the race. I think his handlers might.

The early versions of the Gospels, for example, were all culled from texts dated from the 4th Century and earlier. From Wikipedia:

Attempts to reconstruct the original text are called critical editions. As tempting as it is to completely discredit two thousand years of scholarship based upon the random quips from Klimmer, it's probably more valid just to bag on Klimmer.

If we are going to discuss the bible.. I have a question.
Why did God stop talking to people through the written word? Does He/She not have anything else worth saying?
Also..
why do people accept what a group of men from 1600 years ago declared was the only written word of God?

I've sort of been on the fence about "Klimmer" -- his real name is Gary Somethingorother, right? -- for a long time now. His spaceship on the moon stuff struck me as being extremely odd, and the manner in which he presents Christianity to those around him is, to put it buntly, embarassing to those who take the teachings of Christ seriously. But these most recent posts have me wondering about the possibility that he may be suffering from something more clinical in nature that simple, obnoxious fanaticism. In any event, unless I'm in the mood for some train wreck rubbernecking, I'll simply be skimming past his posts. Lord knows, I'm accustomed to oddballs and frige types -- truth to tell, I'm one myself -- but Gary's recent communiques to the forum are starting to feel downright creepy. Is he really a teacher in the public school system? Yikes.
Larry Norman is spinning in his grave right now, and folks who may have at one time been receptive to the teaching of Christ are running for the hills.

Klimmer doesn't bother me nor scare me. He has explained himself and says he doesn't preach at school. I know public school teachers who are a lot more vehement then he is. And then add in the private school teachers who the right seem to revere so much and you can really find some fanatics.

Back on topic, I think it was a good political move for Obama to make. Head them off at the pass sort of logic. It's out there, and Mitt has changed his views on this subject as well.
Hats off to the POTUS to stand up for equal rights.
Yeah, I know that he deferred it to states rights, but now it's out there, center stage.
IMO, love is love, and commitment is commitment.
Let gay people live their lives just like anyone else.
