it gives you a very good reason to not fall off

the better way to tie in : traditional style
step one: place bet with partner/get drunk and get dared to do it
step two: tie constrictor knot
step three: remove assemblage
step four: pass loop in knot over assemblage encompassing its girth
step five: insure knot is positioned pointing up near to naval and tug tight (max three pulls)
step six: Climb away.

the last time i climbed in a kilt i put the harness on under the kilt. worked well but i could not get my partner to watch me on the hard sections. bloody Englishmen.

Ranch or no Ranch I weighed in at 10 under this morning. That makes me a giant (or not as giant) WINNER!!

It's no wonder Greg went up 1/2 pound. I'm surprised it wasn't more.

Mr. I eat the chocolate cookies that come in lunchables
Mr. I love to eat my 2 Milkyway Bars
Mr. I love full strength Gatoraide
Mr. Yumm Potatoes
Mr. Bread? What's the problem with Breatd?

I think the S-monkey should be counting his blessings.

Counting my blessings? For what?

I was down under 10 lbs LAST WEDNESDAY. I've probably done more workouts in the last four weeks than anyone else in this thing. If I was strictly dieting and not exercising, yeah, I could see counting my blessings, but I'm working like a dog here! This is just the first third of an ongoing program for me. I'm in it for the long haul baybee.

xoxoxox

p.s. It was only ONE fuKcing Milky Way bar gottdammit and I'm not a disciple of Atkins, so I'll eat carbs if I want. History has shown me that my body functions better with carbs, not all that well on just protein. Nya-nya-nya.

Had 2 1/2 lbs left to go but realized that I hadn't moaned it that day (got stopped up in Bishop).

Dropped a double size ingot this morning and weighed in with 1 lb to go.

One more bike ride and then....Pay me! five is not a field number sir.

I have an unsettled feeling that there are going to be 12 people splitting up a measly $100 or so.

Not really worth all the pain and misery if you ask me. Next year, count me out unless there are some new ground rules (body weight % vs. flat 10 lbs). I maintain the fatties have it easier.

.....Just sitting and dreaming about a very large carnitas burrito chased with a gallon of coffee ice cream and a sixer of zesty malty beverages come tomorrow.

I'd like odds on for the come out, please, sir.

OK fat people the results must be in by now. Who lost and who won? I'm sure the Boss is in the winners circle. Mussy probably had a 4 pound baby ingot right before weigh in. Who gets a cookie? (seriously, if you are one of the winners email me your address and I'll send you a few "Cookies By Nature". Sorry, they will be vegan [but you won't know it!]).

Today I am at 168, down from 185 around Thanksgiving. I have managed to do this without giving up my 40+ Sierra Nevadas a week.

Winner of Diet Challenge!!!

The Challenge: Loose 10 pounds in 30 days.

We had 15 participants this year. The weight loss listed is by memory, I left the official weigh in/out notes in Phx.

Susan - WINNER - down 11
Russ - WINNER - down 11
MIni Cheese- WINNER - down 11
Mini Skirt - WINNER - down 10
Eurobrief - WINNER - down 10
Jen - MUCHO WINNER - down 14
Sandy - WINNER - down 10
Greg - WINNER - down 10d
Tim - LOSER - down 9
Janiec - LOSER - down 8
Ray - LOSER - down 8
Eddie Mo - LOSER down 9
Dave - SUPER LOSER - gained 3.5

All in all we did fantastic. So well in fact that there wasn't much of a prize pool. $160.00 split 10 ways. I think most of them have already spent their $16 on prime rib dinners with cheesecake for dessert.

If it wasn't for Dave who had to pony up the full $100 it would have been a pretty small prize pool.

Guess it just goes to show what competition can do. Most of us are pretty motivated to keep going, train, gain lean muscle, blah, blah, blah.

BONUS DIET CHALLENGE started yesterday.

Only 6 die hards:

Must maintain weigh out weight (or less) for 30 days. Every additonal pound put back on will cost $10.00. Lots of drop outs because people fear that the will gain such super muscles over the next month will put them over in weight. Give me a break!

Who's in?

Mini Cheese
Mini Skirt
Mussy
Susan
SteelMonkey
Eddie Mo

Off for a margarita...............

 Susan WINNER!!
