Pam here. I posted up on the other thread, but thought I'd repeat myself a bit here, as it's so wonderful to read all of your thoughts and stories of Jack's Grand Life. He certainly accomplished many amazing things in the mountains over the years, and he and I had countless Grand Adventures together over the 25 years we spent together. I have to say though, I think he would say that his greatest accomplishment was loving me for 25 fabulous years (give or take a grumpy day here and there). To have been loved so deeply and completely by him has given my life a strength and joy I could never have had otherwise. He was a ridiculous romantic...I won't embarrass him in a public forum with tales of stuffed penguins and the countless notes he wrote! But all of you I hope know that it was all of you who created the tapestry of his amazing life. He was in a very happy place in his life....I guess we all sort of felt he was "beyond" something like this happening after all this time. A lesson to all of us.
Anyway, thank you for all your kind words and thoughts....it means so much to me and to my family. We loved him so...........
