Never thought the miles saved were worth the jug back out. The trail into Taylor was doable enough, but Hell Roaring is another story.
Did the Witch a couple years ago with Donini and Crusher and used the "secret" rim rap only to discover fresh footprints one rap down! It bugged me because I couldn't figure out how climbers had found it.
Of all things! A year later in another state we pick up a hitch hiker who solves the mystery.
It was HIM!!!!
Bright guy! He knew how to interpret USGS topo maps, and triangulate, as well as assess logistics. Too bad he couldn't figure out how to afford a car...

Can't Say: Another easy One?
How come nobody has called it?
Either JT or High Country Granite. Somehow, it looks familiar.
I might be slim on Tyrolean Pics...

Pat, I think Tar's onto it with that high country guess.
Reminds me of a shot of Aiguille Extra in an old Ascent.
Those big square corners, the shallow cracks, and the orange rock.

I dunno about the twin ropes in the corner, easy if you've been there or seen it, maybe; it does look familiar.
I like RR's photo, can't tell if he's stealing the ear, or trying to put it back before anyone notices.

Yeah, I was wondering if the fabulous/famous location could be Via Sin Aqua, but I dint know it was slabby over there, that's my kind of angle.
