I don't think that there is any "most beautiful lake," but just the "last one I saw!"
Here's my most recent lake photo in the Indian Peaks Wilderness; this is Mitchell Lake above Brainard Lake, one mile by trail.
This lake is on a spur trail from the Mount Audobon trail above Brainard Lake.

That is an area called Lagos de Montebello in Chiapas, Mexico.These pics aren't mine of course. I was there about 4 years ago, but only have video on old camera. There are about 7 diffirent lakes all with diffirent color water. It's right near the border with Guatemala.

Actually, Fremont Lk is a natural lake that was 'enhanced' by about 20'.
At just under 600' of depth it is the 7th deepest lake in the US.
