What the "left" hates is ignorance.

Doesn't matter if it comes from Democrats OR Republicans.

We hate ignorance.

And ignorance IS the defining "feature" of the Republican Party.

Point by point, fact by fact, there is NOT ONE "conservative" on this forum
that can stand up ANY of the many people who represent the progressive left.

This is proven over and over. FACTS simply "don't matter" to conservatives.

What matters is how they "feel", and what they are "afraid" of.

I could give you a thousand examples. One of the most telling is when
Republicans shoot their stupid mouths off that Obama is "anti military".

When challenged to conclusively prove from credible sources this lie,
they end up just blathering that they "just know" he is.

I hate ignorance, and that is all I see from the political right.

If you can impress any man with an absorbing conviction of the supreme importance of some moral or religious doctrine; if you can make him believe that those who reject that doctrine are doomed to eternal perdition; if you then give that man power, and by means of his ignorance blind him to the ulterior consequences of his own act,-he will infallibly persecute those who deny his doctrine."

Aa-lex,

What I said is not, as you say, an assumption.

It is a FACT.

And conservAtives cannot handle facts. They run from them. Facts prove them wrong.

I guess I don't understand why me not falling into the Supertaco mainstream of thinking all conservatives are ignorant is stupid. Feel free to elaborate.

"All" conservatives are NOT ignorant,

The best example is Colin Powell, he is careful, factual, deliberate, and reasoned.

Man, Norton, I must not have been paying attention. I'm impressed with the brevity and lucidity of your last few posts.

Help me out!

I cannot think of even one Republican who is not factually ignorant, other than Colin Powell.

Got any ideas?

Well, precisely my point about the left foaming at the mouth. Now which number of the ST obscenity pool are you choosing?

You see Lois. Condescension towards an entire group, plus ignoring how many righties on this forum foam at the mouth. Blue is a good example, plus you ignored TGT's post showing a crying baby, which is him calling the op a crying baby. So who exactly is it that foams at the mouth? Oh that right, you agreed with TGT's insulting post. I guess you can dish it but you can't take it. If you don't like how radical or someone treats you, then address them, but please stop dropping everyone into a convenient box of your creation.

I'm sure there are others (but I'm forgetful).

I'm just remembering that Carter (on the news last night) compared these times to those leading up to the Civil War. He said something to the effect that it's probably worse today. I'm thinking, if our technology and Fox News existed during those times, either
1) We would not have survived as a single nation or
2) The Civil War would have started a lot earlier.

Hi Jeff,

Back on the pain meds?

Never left them, been on them for five years now.

The cortisone injection in my spine in April has worn off.

I got another one scheduled in three weeks.

In the meantime, I am in agony and positively loaded on oxycodone.

And I am mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore.

Carry on bragging about yourself, damn near every post.

Those who really have things to brag about, don't. But you don't get that, do you?

Strange, but I have been muttering about another civil war if we don't de-polarize somehow for years. Everybody just laughs me off......
