Wow. I feel sorry for France. Their team sucks.
Nice going Mexico!

Instead of saying that France was pathetic (which they were), I think its awesome how well Mexico played. They looked really solid.

Mexico played a great game!
Is it my non football watching self, or were there an unusual amount of fouls in the game?
Either way, nice game Mexico!

Some ineresting games thus far. Spain has a long way to go to repeat their international record lately. Switzerland really dominated them physically. As for all the ball complaints, it's ridiculous but seems to happen most every world cup. As mentioned most of the balls that didn't find their targets or generally went high were kicked with poor form. Sorry, but even a $150 soccer balls won't help you if you pooch the ball. I also think I know where I want to put some zuzuvelas or whatever those god damn horns are called. How'd you like to realize your lifelong dream of attending WC and your seats end up being next to 20 drunk guys who don't speak your language blowing the crap out of those things for 90 minutes. whoever invented those rigs should be cavity searched with a zuzuvela.
I'm tending towards Argentina vs Germany for final (unless Brazil wakes up)

Interesting indeed. I don't really care who wins, I'm more interested in spotting the breakout players.
To me the most entertaining and amazing player I've seen so far has been Gervinho of Côte d'Ivoire
He was able to create miles of space for himself seemingly at will. Amazing they didn't score in the first game.

port/richard - true.. there were some fouls.. great game by Mexico. Like the commentator stated.. France looked as though they were on the field together, but that was the extent of their 'teamwork'...
Good for Mexico..

I'm all on pins and needles waiting for the good ol' US of A match with Slovenia. It will be interesting to see if the US can maintain the high level of play when they face the lower ranked teams.
I send all my shoes in for resoles just once every four years during the World Cup. This is so I will not be tempted to leave the TV. I always get wierd looks when I drop off all my beer and slobber stained wife beaters into the dry cleaners the day after the champion is crowned.
Soccer sure is a kick in the grass!

Serendipity perhaps, but I've got the morning free to watch the match.

Good goalkeeping on PK, too. Surprising zee germanz loose. Like yesterday, the red card matters pwwwwah!
"If we can't beat Slovenia, we don't deserve to advance." Donovan
My last prediction was off by a goal (happily). How about 1-0 US.

Brillian goal by Donovan! But where the hell was his support?
Good move to jerk Findley and Torres. Aside from the one good
free kick neither showed me anything.
The US defense better step it up, they've been at 6's and 7's.
Onyewu looks slow.
That ref from Mali is out of his league. So far he hasn't
changed the match.

I told you that ref was going to fuk things up! Takes away a good goal.
In fact there were two Slovenians with arms wrapped around
Altidore and Dempsey. It could have easily been a penalty.
FIFA and their effing pc ref selection of third world refs who haven't a
fukking clue.
