Jim, I think my friends the Authorities, just played or are going to play in Vancouver, they have a face book page. Check it out. They have been good friends with DOA over the years. They stayed in that old house the band lived in on their first tour years ago. I also stayed there a couple of days years ago, Joey, Dimwit and Greg showed me around. Very nice guys.
Cheers

Thought you'd all get a laugh at this promotional poster the DOD did for my band at the time, "The Gathering," commemorating our tour where we went around the world twice, playing in 20 countries...This one was of me, but they also made one for each of the four band members...Peace, MP.

Yeah mrtropy, we got on the tour with mostly our originals...One of which was in the film "Crimson Tide" but as the tour progressed we opted to toss in some covers from like: Stone Temple Pilots, Faith No More, Alice in Chains, etc. with some Pistols, Ramones and the like...It actually helped to get them to identify with us more and we partied with them like fiends!! Some of the bases were in pretty cool countries like Crete, Italy, Spain and such but some were kind of heinous like Kuwait, Saudi, Turkey, etc. since it was in the time of Desert Storm, and the nationals looked on us as infidels...Which I guess we were to them! Guantanamo was weird also and we even ended up in Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, but all in all it was a great experience just meeting all the guys and I even got to hook up with quite a few when I was back guiding in Josh as a lot were stationed at "29 Stumps" which was what they called it, so I would take groups of them climbing, non-gratis of course!!:)
PS: This was before my years with "The Cactus Pricks" where I got to play a lot more of the hard core Punk that I really like...

Well my old band "The Gathering" is now defunked:( But we did do a bunch of the songs in The Hatchett Brother's "Masters of Stone 2/ Hard Rock" where I'm in the kind of goofy sequence with some serious bouldering, but also the lame spot of me playing my bass in the middle of the backwards Stem Gem. It was about six of our songs that got in there. Other than that there is the short segment in "Crimson Tide" but if you send me your address I'm still sitting on a heap of our CDs, and I could send you one. Nowadays I'm playing up here in the PNW with our new alternative band "Ultraviolet" and we're recording a disk now, which I can forward when we're done if you'd like...

Dunno. London Calling was better. Sandinista had a bit of filler. it would have been as good as London Calling if were just a double album instead of a triple.
