I love Michelle Obama she so down to earth and normal.

Unlike the robot Trumps wife ......

The article about Tony Schwartz in New Yorker is awesome.

Unlike the cesspool bullshit these Hillary loons in these threads have spewed daily ......

I think it's going to be Warren. What she's been tweeting lately just strikes me as a wee-bit off somehow if not coy. So this means Perez and Kaine are decoys. That's my final answer.

I'm betting it's going to be Tim Kaine. Very plain vanilla / middle of the road Dem. Boring to be sure, but he won't be a target either.

Correct me please if I am wrong, but didn't Cruz have his own delegates at the convention? I mean, he wasn't a guest speaker and it wasn't for Trump to extend an invitation to speak.

Cruz earned his right to speak at the convention, Trump be damned.

Right?

Wrong.

The convention is put on by the Republican National Committee, who sets the agenda. However, in the situations that have prevailed for a long time, where the candidate is locked up before the convention, the Chairman recognizes that the Convention is a great opportunity to gather publicity and support for the Candidate. That said, I am sure that the Chairman defers to the Candidate on who speaks. It was Donald who decided that Duck Dynasty should be represented. Robertson did not "earn" his right to speak. Note all the other candidates that did NOT speak.

(1) Gavin Newsom (2) Elizabeth Warren (3) Cory Booker.

Newsom has no chance. Too young, combined with not being a governor or senator. Perhaps after winning Gov of Ca.

There was grunting, some concern about diarrhea and vomiting due to the norovirus, some Pittsburgh steelers flag waving, a paragraph or two of how hot drumpf's wife was while cribbing Michelle Obama's speech, something about blacks and mexicans and a big wall and an overwhelming distaste of naturally occurring rainbows being satanic and defiant of gawd's laws concerning gays. Ted Cruz spouted some sh#t about what an idiot drumpf was, but other than that,no real "speaking", per se.

If Cruz is so unimportant, why has this pissed them off so bad?

You all are missing the big picture. This action has created headlines for more than 24 hours, sucking up the news cycle, and distracting from any shortcomings of Trump.

This was EXACTLY the strategy that Trump followed in the primaries, and he is getting his name out there on every network and print media in the western world. You seen virtually nothing about Hillary.

However, Hillary has a far more professional campaign. I think she will announce her VP pick tomorrow...UNLESS Trump has some sort of MAJOR F*CKUP.

In that case, she will hold off and let him twist slowly, slowly, in the wind, then announce Sat.

Even so, it is nullified by Trump's actions.

This is the thing with Repubs....pledges come with asterisks, "their word" is ALWAYS conditional.

California centric. Newsom does nothing for the ticket.

I see where you're coming from. Good point there.

But if you've ever heard him in dialog or philosophy, he's very impressive. Imagine down the road the VP debate between him and a conservative Pence esp on social issues. It would be awesome.

Of course I understand the view, He's got no chance. But occasionally
these things happen.

I for one would be energized.

evolution in the sense of positive change, Norton. evolution
in the sense of cultural evolution (not bio evolution).

I don't think so, Jim Brennan

I think he did a great job of explaining why he wrote the book the way he did. Certainly, he felt remorse at the time and was motivated by the paycheck.
