On tonight's local news, they ran a story showing the Google searches for the Cubs versus Indians by State, as a follow on to Lebron James' rallying call of "Cleveland against the World."
The ratio in favor of the Cubs was something like 6 to 1. Only Ohio ran more searches for the Indians than the Cubs.
Believelanders wouldn't have any other way. As an Indian player stated in an interview in Chicago last Friday, "We're happy to be the 'other team' who won the World Series."
The odds were against the Indians going in, but they have played better than the Cubs. That could change, and the improbable can happen, as it did for the Cavs against the Warriors. Our gods play with us.
I ran a statistical test with a friend in Chicago, to neutralize home field advantage. We flipped coins: two tails in a row, Cubs win. Cubs won my toss and lost my Chicago friend's toss. Go figure; go Tribe.
The Cavs moved up their game tomorrow so fans, including the Cavs themselves, could catch the game.

At least the losing city will still have either the Bears or Browns to cheer for.

The Indians have definitely been more consistent than the Cubs...though I'm leaning towards the Cubs for historic/sentimental reasons, the Indians have played more solidly and consistently.
In any case...bummed to consider the end of the season for both of these great teams, and to be facing the long, dry stretch to the next baseball season.
And I'm really.....really....going to miss having Vin Scully around.

Good to see Ohio stalwarts like DoBreedIniLove bros in the house.
I don't usually watch baseball, but when I do, I watch the Cubs take game six and the series move to Comerica where the home court advantage is gone like the wind that lifted LeBrown up to trap that ball on the backboard.
I plan on seeing Cleveland coming within one of matching Detroit's 1935 NHL, NFL, and World Series trifecta.
Peace, over/under and out!

Well, the Cubbies got one thing going for them - regardless of the outcome
they get to go home to Chicago.

First prize, one week vacation, all expenses paid, in Cleveland.
Second prize, two weeks.
That's why we so desperately want to win.

OK, I'll bite. What is the prize actually for? The best explanation for why all the games start @ 5:08?

Don't know who any of these folks are, but it's pretty clear that Washington is firmly entrenched at number four.
Alex Kirshner Alabama Michigan Clemson Washington
Bill Connelly Alabama Michigan Clemson Washington
Bud Elliott Alabama Clemson Michigan Washington
Dan Rubenstein Alabama Michigan Washington Clemson
Jason Kirk Alabama Michigan Clemson Washington
Jeanna Thomas Alabama Clemson Washington Michigan
Luke Zimmermann Alabama Michigan Clemson Washington
Matt Brown Alabama Michigan Clemson Washington
Morgan Moriarty Alabama Clemson Michigan Washington
Richard Johnson Alabama Michigan Clemson Washington
Ryan Nanni Alabama Michigan Clemson Washington
Sarah Hardy Alabama Clemson Washington Michigan
Spencer Hall Alabama Clemson Michigan Washington
Steven Godfrey Alabama Michigan Washington Clemson
Wescott Eberts Alabama Michigan Clemson Washington
Neither Case Western Reserve nor the University of Chicago are in the rankings. What's a mother to do?

Game on, but Washington was dropped to #5
It's all rigged, eh Reilly
Can we get an amen for flying the W(est coast) around here
If it turns out to be a slow game or a runaway (could be a pun there) please weigh in with thoughts regarding the differences between AL and NL! All, serious or chewing tobacco in cheek, appreciated.

Same libtard east coast media bias that supports Hildabeast. Texas A&M
with one loss and a patsy schedule ahead of Washington? Really? OK, so
we padded our schedule with Oregon, Stanford, and USC, BUT AT LEAST WE
