Hey man, I had Sarah Palin for a governor for a spell. Perry, while clearly just as wingnutty, can at least speak in a slightly higher version of word-salad. How's that praying for rain thing working out for ya'll down there?
I love Perry really, he's like a cartoon character and never-ending laugh parade. His stance on abstinence education is typical. So Texas has 3rd highest teen pregnancy rate in the country and the abstinence only kids actually had more sex after being exposed to the program. So when asked why they stick with it when it seems to be 100% FAIL...well, let me just use the quotes:
----- "Asked why Texas persists with an abstinence-only sex education curriculum when the state has one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the country, Perry responds glibly, “Abstinence works.”
“But we have the third highest teen pregnancy rate among all states in the country,” Smith replies. “It doesn’t seem to be working.”
“It works,” Perry insists
---
Yeah, it "works". What a character! An adorable chucklehead, just like Dubya! Don't mess wif Texussss!

bookworm, it's nice to know you have such sympathy for poor bin Laden. An unarmed man at home minding his own business. Truly, a Republican hero's life brutally cut short. His castle invaded by armed federal government thugs.
Do you need a hanky?

"a president orders u.s. troops to enter a sovereign nation without that nation's approval or knowledge, burst into a private home, and put a bullet into the eye of an unarmed man..."
That's a truly stunning level of hypocrisy, there, booky. Had OBL been taken out while a Republican POTUS was in office (which is worth pointing out again was not the case), your party's response would have been 'Mission Accomplished!'
You're a smart guy, bookworm. Stop spewing sh#t like an idiot.

In spite of how the 2000 presidential elections went down, post 9/11 the Democrats on the hill supported the president in a time of crisis. Ditto with regard to invading Iraq.
Exactly, Degaine, and the Republicans made gains in the 2002 elections. After that, the Democrats suddenly "forgot" their support, and many seemed actively rooting for failure, which is why I stated "after 2002."
More importantly, I didn't say the Democrats actually wanted Bush to fail, any more than I said the Republicans want Obama to fail. I said that was a perception. It may not be your perception, but that's beside the point. Our continuous denigration of our leaders is not producing positive results.

Oh, I think we can forget about the political impact of "unions", who's members are now only some seven percent of the entire work force, and continuing to decline.
Nope, the Supreme Court ruling allowing corporations to use unlimited amounts of their money to buy media time and influence elections has already dwarfed union money.
We all know that Democrats only win elections by paying ACORN people to bus in the blacks to the polls.
But let's defund Planned Parenthood and National Public Radio!
And mostly, let's just flat out lie our asses off, do what we do best, sell FEAR to get people to vote against their own best interests.
Gays taking away the sanctity of marriage, post graduates called "elitists"!
But mostly, recognize just who your "base" is, and continue to kiss their asses:
"This is an impressive crowd - the haves and the have-mores. Some people call you the elites; I call you my base." - George W. Bush at Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner fundraiser for Catholic charities.

uh, i was pointing out lib hypocrisy in your responses to two successes in the war on terror; in your moral vacuum waterboarding ksm is a crime but assassinating obl is a heroic act; you think bush should be tried for war crimes but barry's continuation of these "crimes" is ignored; where are your anti-war activists, now that barry has us in another war in libya?
you guys are either incredibly dense or just so ashamed of your hypocrisy that you're hoping you can deflect scrutiny with unfounded accusations of my hypocrisy and that nobody will notice...i generously assume the latter
btw, i congratulated barry for getting obl on this site

Many liberals argued over how OBL was handled. But you don't pay attention.

If any of you payed attention none of you would vote for any of these people let alone support any of the current parties including the Tea Baggers.
I don't. Oh, twice the thought of a Republican winning re-election drove me to vote for a Democrat, Mondale and then Obama. But I won't get fooled again.

They must have received another subsidy cheque from the US government. How many billions a year does the US send Israel, in direct and indirect aid, not to mention individual and corporate money?
They're pretty yappy for a client state, though. Not a viable long term strategy.

More "Solargate" action today.
One of the lead private investors in Solyndra was an Oklahoma billionaire who served as an Obama "bundler," raising money during the 2008 presidential campaign.
The bundler, George Kaiser, has declined to comment. His firm, Argonaut Ventures and its affiliates have been the single largest shareholder of Solyndra, according to SEC filings and other records. The company holds 39 percent of Solyndra's parent company, bankruptcy records filed Tuesday show.

Will Company's Bankruptcy Hurt Obama Jobs Record? Watch Video
Energy officials have repeatedly denied allegations that Solyndra received special treatment, saying the selection process was even handed. Until two weeks ago, the Obama administration held out Solyndra as a model for its green energy program, which was devised to create jobs and spur investment in cleaner sources of energy. President Obama personally visited the Solyndra plant last year, and his Energy Department made it the first to win approval of a federal loan guarantee. The $535 million federal investment enabled the company to build a sprawling manufacturing facility.
Under terms of the bankruptcy filing, investors including Argonaut -- which led a $75 million round of financing for Solyndra earlier this year -- will stand in line before the federal government and other creditors to recoup its losses. Energy officials confirmed this arrangement, saying that after private investors including Kaiser recover $75 million, the U.S. government would have a chance to seek $150 million of its investment.
