Cruz earned his right to speak at the convention, Trump be damned.
Right?
Yep. Donald never extracted a condition that Cruz must endorse him in order to be allowed to speak. Donald even saw the speech before hand, so it's fair game.

I'd bet if trump forbade someone from speaking the RNC would not cross him.

not being privy to the RNC convention rules
I suspect it is Reince Preibus and/or the high up convention decision makers who decide who gets to speak
it is not Donald Trump's convention, it is the Republican Party's
anyone know differently that it is the nominee who gets to say who speaks, seems doubtful?

I think the only apt finale for the GOP convention will be Reince Priebusa exploding on live TV

Okay, Crankster, so here it is. I think it's going to be Warren. What she's been tweeting lately just strikes me as a wee-bit off somehow if not coy. So this means Perez and Kaine are decoys. That's my final answer.
Yes, America is ready for a two-woman ticket.
Look how long it's been a two-man ticket.
She's all about banking reform, campaign reform, income inequality correction, health care reform - in other words, Bernie's issues. Just the shot in the arm that's needed.
Clinton Warren 2016 - What Bernie Sanders groupie in their right mind would not vote that?

A 2 woman ticket would be awesome. con heads would be exploding left and right like the pics faroukbitch/pyro loves to post. There wouldn't be enough rocks for them to crawl back under if that came to fruition..

kay, Crankster, so here it is. I think it's going to be Warren.
if so, in my view, a bad decision to make Warren her VP
because it puts two women on the ticket, two "liberal" women
there are millions of men who simply will not vote for a woman for anything much less President, and two of them?
she is already losing to Trump with men, and particularly white men
in addition it would remove Warren from her Senate seat at the crucial time when the Dems are tying to win back the Senate
and the Governor of her state, Mass, is a Republican and he would get to appoint her successor, no doubt a fellow Republican

If Cruz is so unimportant, why has this pissed them off so bad?
same reason why they are pissed off because so many high profile Republican governors, Senators, and Congressmen will not endorse Trump
looks bad for party unity when your own people don't want you as President

I just don't know what the stoopid Republicans expect Cruz to do. Trump was an absolute ahole during the campaign and Cruz would be a hypocrite if he endorsed Trump. By the way, nobody has produced any pledge signed by Cruz(that I know of) and even if he had signed the pledge Trump's filthy campaign would render it null and void in my book. How come nobody came down hard on trump when he was saying the agreement was null and void because the RNC wasn't playing by the rules?
I agree, but there have been so many politicians who said extremely critical things about Trump but ended up kissing his ass, that there is an expectation cruz would fall in line too.
Still, you can't insult someone's wife and father and expect him to fall in line later. Insults have consequences, and trump has insulted just about everyone.

Jody, they are especially pissed at Cruz because he signed the "pledge" saying he would support whomever wins the nomination and now he is refusing to do so.

Yep, that nullifies it.
Cruz has many motives to not endorse, but he is under no obligation to grovel to a man who insults his family.

Jody, the Pledge is held by Reince Priebus the head of the Republican National Committee and thus not available for the general public to see
I suppose if you don't believe it really exits you write him and ask for a copy

I expect the polls to tighten up considerably. The country is just too evenly divided and polarized. As bad as Trump is the hate for Hillary flows too strongly.
But in the end many people won't be able to hold their nose and vote from Trump.
I'm not excited about Hillary, but looking forward to Bill as FDOTUS, it'll be party time like the 90s again!
