Once again you totally miss the point Bruce. You can't separate yourself from your ideological programming and standardized response long enough to examine the more subtle implications of self reliance- little hint it's not survivalism in isolation.

well we certainly succeeded in drawing you guys out of the closet , now didn't we? Let's forget the pretense of the "science", as after all, as Ed has made so clear, it's all about your left wing ideology. Ed et al- do you ever feel a twinge of shame, I mean your ideology is so far from pursuit of truth (science) that you can hardly call yourself a scientist anymore. How in the hell did you get so lost, so far from where you started?
Rick, you're on Fantasy Island again. Reality can't reach you out there, I don't think there was ever much chance that it would.

The fact that your vocabulary and store of knowledge is greater than the other monkeys supporting your position, in baffled awe by your b.s. pronouncements, does not make the gist of what you profess science. Look around Ed, the science is leaving your position behind, it's moving on to to discovery and explanation of all the natural components that CAGW ignored. If you doubt this just look at the flood of new papers. Your not in so deep that you can't make a graceful turn.
You know Chiloe, Larry, there are other things to study in those ice cores other than the single minded obsession with doom by CO2. I suggest you start looking at those.

It's impressive how many wildly false assumptions you can pack into each sentence, while lecturing people in absolute certainty that you're right.

Ok Larry, perhaps I am wrong and your range of study is far greater than that in support of the CAGW hypothesis. Well then, let me apologize if you would be so good as to inform us of your studies, especially that that is applicable to our lives and times.

Quite the poser, Rick. And still stacking up false assumptions so deep you can't see them.

Yeah, because it's sooo damn hard to go pull his CV from the CareyInst and read it. Show some initiative, Rick, you champion of self-reliance.

One of the worlds most credited and renowned climate scientists- the great Dr. Roy Spencer- god love him- has a great commentary out on his website today. All, especially those wannabe policy pushers citing climate science, will be interested in the clarity of message he has to offer.

Not even close. His reputation among fellow scientists is "chronically wrong." Look up the UAH/TLT debacle somewhere other than the denialist blogs to learn why.
Or pull up the 2011 Remote Sensing paper -- the most recent article listed on his blog -- then read it yourself and start a discussion of why you think it's great.

What a sad display of the worst humanity has to offer... pathetic misanthropic fukheads talking out of their asses, wasting the time of intelligent well-meaning people presenting facts in the face of ignorance.

I hear getting into the Navy is really difficult. It isn't like anyone can just go sign up, right? My uncle robbed a convenience store and he was offered a deal: serve in the Navy or go to Jail. Is it true that the majority of people who sign up to serve in the military are let go within the first year due to inadequate performance?

Don't be silly, everyone here loves me.
And my uncle did fine in the Navy. He was raised by an authoritarian father who beat him unconscious on a fairly regular basis. In the Navy he never HAD to think for himself, he just had to do what he was told. And the hazing was nothing compared to what he had been through. It was a perfect fit for him, he said so himself.

Better watch what your posting Mechrist now that you've got that good job. As the NSA scandals show the eyes and ears are every where.
The NIPCC is concluding their conference and below is a news article about the event. They released their 1200 page report with nearly 50 authors. You'll find a link to the website of NIPCC, and presumably the report, in the article.

ARCTIC. Emerging projections assess that the Arctic will become passable for shipping several months out of the year within the next decade – about 10 years earlier than predicted in 2009 when we first published our Arctic Roadmap. This will place new demands on our fleet for presence in the Arctic and capabilities to operate in the Arctic environment. Between now and the start of FY2014 we will update our Arctic Roadmap, and accelerate many of the actions Navy will take in preparation for a more accessible Arctic...

Coming from you Riley and your twisted left wing blog sources, I take your above posts as a ringing endorsement of these esteemed gentlemen and scholars. The more the leftists squeal, kick and cry, the closer to the truth you are.
Splater- only one paragraph about projections that the sea lane will be open some time in the next decade. The Navy damn well better be patrolling or cede control of these seas to the Russians. Of course it's still just a projection which might well change if the trend of sea ice melt continues to reverse like this year.

Colorado Floodwaters Cover Fracking And Oil Projects: ‘We Have No Idea What Those Wells Are Leaking’
BY REBECCA LEBER ON SEPTEMBER 17, 2013 AT 10:02 AM
CREDIT: East Boulder County United
Colorado flooding has not only overwhelmed roads and homes, but also the oil and gas infrastructure stationed in one of the most densely drilled areas in the U.S. Although oil companies have shut down much of their operations in Weld County due to flooding, nearby locals say an unknown amount of chemicals has leaked out and possibly contaminated waters, mixing fracking fluids and oil along with sewage, gasoline, and agriculture pesticides.
“You have 100, if not thousands, of wells underwater right now and we have no idea what those wells are leaking,” East Boulder County United spokesman Cliff Willmeng said Monday. “It’s very clear they are leaking into the floodwaters though.”
In my view, if tracking some how miraculously turned the jobless rate from 8% to 1% it would still be a bad idea. With no clean water, how long would we live, again?
