My biggest skill is what is called "Sequence Stratigraphy." It is the new and powerful paradigm that replaced plain old "stratigraphy."
OT, but I wish we had Base along on our hike a few days ago near Golden. Heavy rains on N Table Mountain have exposed a clean, continuous section of sedimentary bedrock more than a thousand feet long, that had been completely buried under sediments. The section cuts across (not along) strata that lie between the Fountain formation (Pennsylvanian) sediments to the west, and the Paleocene basalt flows atop Table Mountain.
EDIT: Looking at a map: This newly-exposed section is well above the Fountain formation. It's mostly Tertiary, but possibly this section crosses the interesting K-T boundary. From maps it appears to consist of Denver formation Tdv and Kdv, "tuffaceous sandstone, silty claystone and andesite conglomerate."

I said this long ago and it remains true
you will absolutely not "defeat" the Chief
he has more stamina, more determination, and more experience in rebutting opposition
its not about being right or wrong, it IS about being The Last Man Standing
debating the Chief is.....refer to the Definition of Insanity....the process, not the participants
what IS accomplished is merely brushing up on verbal sparring skills, that's all

Why dont they subsidize the retro fitting of power companys so the upgrade expenses arent passed right down to the low guy on the totem pole
SOCIALISM! SOCIALISM! Goddamn commie Anderson. Burn the commie witch!
Ron, you are aware that the power companies have low-income subsidies? And you are aware that the State of CA is attempting to raise the min wage to $10? And you are aware that the 1% Koch brother, republican crowd...the same ones funding your climate change delialists, who have bought and paid for the so-called "Tea Party" politicians, will be the ones standing between the avg American and a living wage?
Of course you don't. Because you don't seem to undestand much at all.

Who the f*#k do you think the Kochs are, you retard? The second biggest privately held company in the country.
"Koch was also one of the funders of the 2007 polar bear junk science “study” authored by prominent climate deniers (including Sallie Baliunas, David Legates and Tim Ball) that claimed to prove that polar bear populations were not affected by anthropogenic climate disruption in the Arctic. Dr. Willie Soon, one of the non-peer-reviewed paper’s authors, disclosed in the acknowledgements section that he had received direct corporate funding for the work, stating “W. Soon’s effort for the completion of this paper was partially supported by grants from the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation, American Petroleum Institute, and Exxon-Mobil Corporation.”
Although the paper was thoroughly debunked by actual experts on Arctic sea ice and polar bears, many of the front groups funded by Koch and Exxon rebroadcast the study widely, creating public confusion. The matter came to a head when Sarah Palin and her officers in the Alaskan government referenced the Soon/Baliunas polar bear paper before it was even published "
------- "Koch spent over half the total amount -nearly $25 million - funding climate denier groups from 2005 to 2008, a period in which Exxon only spent $8.9 million."
"Koch Industries has bankrolled Americans for Prosperity to the tune of over $5 million since 2005. AFP – known primarily for its role in organizing the tea party movement in the U.S. – brought notorious climate denier Lord Christopher Monckton to the Copenhagen climate summit as its guest speaker. Despite Lord Monckton’s reprehensible behavior in Copenhagen – where he repeatedly compared college students advocating for a clean energy future to “Hitler Youth” and “Nazis” – Americans for Prosperity continues to host Monckton at its events in the United States, including a recent appearance in Wisconsin. "

And you were saying what, dipsh#t? There's your f*#king money trail, moron.

campaign finance reform.
McCain-Finegold Act was a very good start towards campaign finance reform
unfortunately the Supreme Court gave unlimited spending to Corporations with the Citizens United decision
how about term limits, which Ron Anderson and myself favor for US congressmen?
maybe a maximum of serving 10 years or something like that, although I do see the advantages to getting legislation passed by allowing multiple continuous service

And this dude has NEVER contributed any of his Billions to the Pro MMGW side in order to promote Carbon Trade Globally where he would surely benefit and gain so much??
Are you ever right about anything? Anything at all?
"Soros has said he prefers a greenhouse-gas tax because carbon emission-trading systems, which are used in Europe, can be manipulated by investors. "

Polar bears numbers increased due to conservation efforts, from about 12k in the 70's to about 22k now, due to the 1973 treaty, of which Canada is a member of. This treaty stopped the unregulated hunting and ended hunting from aircraft and ice breakers, and reduced quotas for native hunters.
Today, 1/3 of the sub populations are declining, 1/3 are steady or increasing and 1/3 not studied enough to know.
