Well Bruce, after nearly 60 years on this planet I am still amazed as to the wonder and improbability of it all. Im leaning towards this life, this universe as having a degree of intention behind it rather than a cosmic accident. Once again, I see no problems with Spencer et al, certainly less conflict of interest than those preaching from the church of CAGW as to the preordained evils of man and the properties of the mythic idol CO2.

I find atheists to be shallow, scared, hateful little people.
they all stereotype and pass judgment on everyone who doesn't believe as they do...oh...wait...

Kman, i more than proved, with a silly lil experiment (psyche 101), the trend of pre-disposed thought patterns of CC types right here in this thread.
Delusional is a good adjective for you now Ron.

Boy, the next thing you know, some liberal tree-hugger is gong to claim climate change has something to do with a little bit of rain in CO...
What'd the newscast say, a half year's worth of rain fell overnight?

Yeah Ron I knew that. And, I also know that these 100-year occurrences are happening around the globe more frequently than we've ever know. So much so, in fact, that lots of very smart folks point to AWG as the cause.
And don't try to convince me you know more than those folks Ron, because the fact is, you don't.

Nope,, i was just looking at flood history's of different states...
Nope Ron, you are proving once again that you're being foolish.
Since you just looked it up, how many 100-year events have taken place in the last decade? Or now what they're calling a 1,000-year event. How about Sandy, do you know the chance of a storm like that happening? Or the floods in Russia, or Europe last year. It's looking like this decade is going to be the 100-year decade, right?
No matter, you can stand your ground all you want. Those who can do the calculations have it figured out, and they are telling us Beware! It's your choice to ignore them.

so by stopping CO2 in its tracks (as if we could) that would make floods fires and all other problems vanish?
Still playing a fool? Well I must say, job well done.
And I'm not trying to "sell" this. It is what it is.
That said, when folks offer up phoney science to "prove" that AWG ain't happening, then I find it hard to not point out how wrong they are.

NO ONE here has said man isnt contributing CO2 into the atmopshere.
Um, Ron. Was that an issue that somebody raised, that folks were saying man didn't add CO2? Because if it was, I missed it.
In other words, your comment makes no sense.

So, The Chief, with your point of view, you can do anything to anybody, because, well the Universe will just roll on.
So go and kill a bunch of kids, set some poison for the creatures around your house. Hell, set fire to a forest. Who cares. Everybody is going to die anyway, why not just have your fun while you're here. Right?
I mean, that is the premiss of what you're advocating, you know that right?

Do the best you can as an individual to reduce your personal impact on the world around you and go enjoy your life without infringing or hurting anyone else.
That's a great way to look at things, and I applaud those with this attitude.
However, it takes massive amounts of energy to manufacture those motorcycles in your video (as well as other durable goods). Where do we get the electricity for such things? Coal, FF, nuclear.
The people of Japan might want to reduce their personal impact on their surroundings, but if the Japanese government decides that they'll use nuclear energy as a means, then those same Japanese who want to reduce their impact don't have much say in the outcome of things like Fukushima. They just want to cook some dinner, maybe with an electric rice cooker. Meanwhile, the electricity they use to cook with is from a power source that has a huge impact on many, many people.
My point? The governments of the world have an obligation to respect the people and other living things on the Earth, and that includes being very careful with how their corporations treat the environment.
We found that DDT wasn't as good as originally thought. With that, we did the right thing. Now, it's time we did the right thing with regards to how we produce, and use electricity, energy used for transportation, and other things that severely harm our environment.
We can no longer treat Mother Earth like Keith Moon treated a hotel room. There are no other "rooms" available to us.

I ride a bike because it keeps the old knees from freezing up and it feels good.
I grow as much of my own produce as practicable because it tastes better.
AGW has nothing to do with it.
