Bruce! Glad you've been manning-up and prosing the right-wing nerds to a standstill.
I just had an old educational thought from a long-ago course I took, when my Forestry degree was not going to get me a cushy career with the U.S. Forest Service.
I then decided my new career was to teach High School Science.
So-------my really fun and really good Ed. Prof talked about how humans normally start out with the thoughts and beliefs of their parents and care-givers.
Then they progressed to having the thoughts and beliefs of their peer group.
He believed that as teachers, we were then supposed to take our students to where they could start having: “original thoughts,” and start thinking for themselves vs. parroting the thoughts of others.
Sigh! ---
It does appear that a number of poseurs on this thread have not reached the “original-thought” stage, and never will.
The gifted teacher also convinced me to find another career path than teaching. He was correct.

In addition,, Sheriff Gilespi of Clark County did indeed order a stand down by the Feds.
Cletus the Clueless, weighing in with complete and utter bullsh#t, contradicted by the man he says "ordered" a stand down. Try again Cletus, Gilespi didn't "order" jack sh#t per his own words:
"I want to stress to all of you that as the sheriff of Clark County I cannot interfere with the Federal government when it is operating on Federal land," Gillespie said. "And because this is BLM property, it is in their jurisdiction.

If Bundy is the best case the rightwingers have for proving oppressive Federal action then I think we live in a very free society.
Bit of trivia, Nevada receives more in Federal tax benefits than they pay in Federal taxes. Makes them a welfare state, right?

John M you got that right about Nevada taxes and welfare state. Studies show that the majority of red states are actually receiving more federal funding than taxes they are actually paying.
