hey there say, brokendownclimber.... oh my, i have ranch buddies, so i KNOW: ranch first, above all else...
say, i SENT you a small token, as you were doing help with the food, etc...
at least, you have a small souvenier--not much... you can set a beer or something on it, after your hard work, :) i reckon...
wish i had been able too, to go and meet all these folks, so i know how you feel--but you feel twice worse, as you CLIMB :O
hugs to all... i am getting ready for grandkids cousins to come and a boy to babysit, too, so i may have to come read all this fun, later...
in between chorse, i keep stopping in...
wish i could have met scseagoat, and lynne, and all, and crimper
and sooooooooo many... :)

You're right about "ranch first." Yesterday my 2 bulls were out in the county road, eyeing up a bunch of 2-year old heifers across the road. I had to get them back before I pissed off the neighbor; this morning 4 cows missing, but found them all by Noon. They were out in my hay meadows, and in the woods. Still feeding the cows hay every day since the grass is slow getting started from lack of decent rainfall. Pissed off because another neighbor came in and shut off one of my irrigation sets...
Basically, "just another day" on the ranch. Just can't get away when the fecal material hits the rotating oscillator.
I spent Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons flying, and was signed off for my High Performance Airplane endorsement. The weather and cows then combined to prevent me from leaving and especially from flying down to Twentynine Palms. We've been having a lot of dry thunderstorm activity with lots of wind. This resulted in a ceiling lower than I need to clear the mountains near Rawlins. Not to mention Bad Cow Days, which are far worse than Bad Hair Days. :D

hey there say, brokedownclimber.... wow, my twin buddies had bull troubles, too... same type...
they are having to put out hay, too... been bad season...
they are montana, near libby...
say--better NOT to fly, too, why take a chance with bad weather, etc...
glad you're safe... take care...
