I just started going to stony on a regular basis about 3 months ago. I have to say that while it isn't my favorite spot I've ever been in terms of the actual boulders. It is my favorite spot in terms of the atmosphere. Yeah, I know it's right near a busy road, and there are lot's of looky lu's walking about, the glass everywhere, yada yada yada. However, the people who call it home are some of the nicest, most welcoming, talented and knowledgeable people I've met in climbing.
Thanks to everyone who's shown me what they have there, see you Thursday night, and most likely Sunday too!

Good luck with that! Didn't they explain yet that you are too fricken old to learn anything new, let alone something hard like surfing? Had I not learned when I was 13 I never could have been a surfer.

Hi everyone. Just started bouldering for the first time in February and started going to Stoney Point regularly at the beginning of April and needless to say, I'm in love.
I've got a couple photos to share. I'm hoping to capture more that look like this (Bob on The Boot):
Everything else is nothing to spectacular because I'm (thankfully) too busy climbing, but apparently I'm obsessed with Sticker.
My day to climb is Sunday and I've been out on a couple of Thursdays. I'm planning to be out more often and as weird as it sounds, respond surprisingly well to people yelling beta and encouragement. So, if you see me, give me a shout!

Yo fellow Stoney Point taco members! Tomorrow I will be bringing my BBQ out to the Point for another awesome Thursday boulder 1 grill fest, Boulderkitty will be joining me as well. I will fire the beast up around 6:45p. I encourage all to come out, hang and eat some dogs. Heck, if you feel up to it bring some supplies of your own, there's always room on the grill and hungry boulderers to feed!
If you think you can make it let me know on here so I can get an idea of how many people to expect.
