Of course, paying of the women isn't "Russia," but so far Trump has been pretty much confirmed at lying about every accusation. Why would "Russia" be different? I mean - didn't anyone read the story of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf?"

From the New York Times:
In crediting Mr. Cohen with providing “substantial and significant efforts” to assist the investigation, Mr. Mueller’s separate sentencing memo details new evidence of collusion with Russia, including a previously unreported phone conversation in November 2015 between Mr. Cohen and an unnamed Russian who claimed to be a “trusted person” in Moscow. The Russian explained to Mr. Cohen how the Russian government could provide the Trump campaign with “political synergy” and “synergy on a government level,” and offered to set up a meeting between Mr. Trump, then a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, and President Vladimir Putin of Russia.
Hmmmmm.

so far the best recent entertainment value for me, in this whole slow motion shIt carrying train wreck, has been two things:
the first is, as per the above quote, watching the rats, scurry across the deck proving beyond a shadow of a doubt their own nature and the degree to which the ship is tilting... so far the ones i’ve read about are, in no particular order:
tucker carlson: on donald trump he told a swiss magazine that, “I don’t think he’s capable of sustained focus. I don’t think he understands the system. I don’t think the Congress is on his side. I don’t think his own agencies support him.” followed up by saying that in order to pass legislation, “you really have to understand how it works and you have to be very focused on getting it done, and he knows very little about the legislative process, hasn’t learned anything, and surrounded himself with people that can get it done, hasn’t done all the things you need to do so. It’s mostly his fault that he hasn’t achieved those things,”
rex tillerson: "When the President would say, 'Here's what I want to do and here's how I want to do it.' And I'd have to say to him, 'Well Mr. President, I understand what you want to do, but you can't do it that way. It violates the law. It violates treaty.” He went on to add, "He got really frustrated ... I think he grew tired of me being the guy every day that told him you can't do that and let's talk about what we can do." followed further by “it was challenging for me" to move from a "disciplined, highly-process oriented" corporation to work for a man "who is pretty undisciplined, doesn't like to read, doesn't read briefing reports, doesn't like to get into the details of a lot of things."
rudy giuliani: “Answering those questions was a nightmare, it took him about three weeks to do what would normally take two days.” followed up with “The more controlled a person is, the more intelligent they are, the more they can make the decision. But he’s just like every other client. He’s not more … you know, controlled than any other client. In fact, he’s a little less.”
john kelly: the guardian is reporting kelly was interviewed by mueller’s team, contra to the intentions of the trump team, and that due to this kelly and trump are no longer on speaking terms and kelly is expected to quit “in the coming days”.
michael flynn: it is now being reported that flynn sat for 19 interviews with mueller’s team and due to this it is being recommended that he not receive jail time. hmmmm...
my other favourite part in all of this is trying to guess what donald trump’s “I am not a crook” quote, contributed to the annals of american history, is going to be... so far we have at least the following vying for contention:
“very stable genius...like, really smart”
“very legal and very cool”
“Totally clears the President. Thank you!”
“NO COLLUSION”
but i think my favourite is still the classic, tried and true:
"No puppet. No puppet. You're the puppet. No, you're the puppet."
i honestly don’t know whether to laugh or cry through all of this...
