Yo, YO-ya![Click to View YouTube Video]I am Tired Out. Goin' to bed again soon. Insomnia. Hard to lie down and breathe well. Tough night. Shot some pics, though.
Then on the other front...
Night-night, good morning, too.

Patrick Hurley is a friend from my two years at Our Lady of Mercy HS. We played JV baseball together. Though not very good, we beat Mariposa's JV team, at least. He's now one of my FB friends and was jazzed about his new logo.
I like it a whole lot.
We should have a Flames logo contest with a decent prize from the Advice and Cheese Shop.

The Wheel, a Bucyrus-Erie contraption, was owned and operated by Morrison-Knudsen, Utah, Brown, and Root.
SOMEbody got rich by diggin' a ditch.
That punk who was standing under The Wheel about ten years or so later. He never dug no ditches. But I have and so's our older brother.
Blame it on genes because Grandad was an operating engineer.
Name me some names of climbers who've become rich from climbing.
First name comes up is Yvon.
Dolt's a close second. Look at what he left. Man was not aware of how rich he was. It's a pity.
Now where?

As you can see this all started as I was not savey and was trolled into putting out the info. .
.
as the Maven of the zone of rocks from the gunks to the Gaps and then some...
like the bouldering near Princeton, I have been climbing in New Jersey as Long as anyone
( with the exception of Doug Alcock)
and am sure that If it could be proven I hold more climbs in the state than any one - the hardest - no but the Most, for sure.
Before gyms I was always climbing any where that I could , that Includes the Palisades and the Westchester county Parks too.
along the side of what is now the Suffern highway exchange was a lot of rock more than just the Rapid Transit cliff and the Black Irish Boiler Maker behind the bar. . .
lots of rock on the border of NY/NJ.

Stay in the groove...no particular place to go anyhow.
I am behind a plow.
I am surrounded by a herd of mules.
I am trying to play horseshoes in a herd of mules?
My father's name is Francis.
Talk about Frantic Frannie's fascination with golf.
There's a hand grenade in there with the extra balls!
Everyone into the Ditch!
The ditch is flowing...the Stream of Consciousness
which drains the Frontal Range.
Steam roller: 1925 Buffalo-Springfield 5-ton tandem.
The first self-propelled rollers were the genuine steam rollers,
but the name has carried forward to today’s diesel-powered machines.
Blowin' off steam with the ST team in The Ditch.
Never before seen scenes of the scene at MEATfest, dammit, it's MEATFEST!!
There's more wisdom gathered around that bear-proof than you can believe. Wise-guys, anyway.
Paging General Merriment! Call for Merriment!
Unusual suspects.
Call for Raucous! Rock Us!
Then came the morning. And more litter.
And then came more merriment.
These two each won a prize, but not a raffle prize.
Keep up your photos, E. They are inspiring. Thanks.

[Click to View YouTube Video]Oh, me and my cousin, one Arthur McBride
As we went a-walkin' down by the seaside
Mark know what followed and what did betide
For it bein' on Christmas mornin'
Oh, me and and my cousin, one Jeffrey McMeans
As we went a-walking on rail road track beams
Knew not what would happen or what we'd decide
For it bein' on a visit to Grandma's
He'd gotten us into some trouble, I'd say,
But along with his schemes I always would play
Then there came a time when they'd send him away
So he joined the Marines the very next day
Away he did go in his Blues (quite a rig)
To guard all the sailors locked up in the brig
But his hearing was bad and they booted him out
But now it is aided of that there's no doubt
So please do not yell and please do not shout
He's just like my old-time friend Werner

MFM: "Sky-writing with a quill pen."
You know I now must find a photo of geese flying in formations—to demonstrate true sky-writing with a quill pen. :)
Just back from the Winds, where there were many geese along the rivers.

Bum pity bump the thump of the drum before the uncle Floyd show,
I if not go open the cops killing 'mericoons thread, as it's hersstairical
Well if I could spell it would turn off the auto-reject.- , -now it is just being funny.
Here in the changed climate, the new normal I could see my breath outside !
I think a moment of the geese we saw, with grey balls of fluff fewer than any year.
The grey goslings . The cold and hot temps of spring never got in synch here.
The snow was in the north corners till April and then we had a heat snap like someone pushed the toaster button down. Turned the toaster oven on.
Then after thirteen days of that and the rest of the month no rain so strangled plants and wider roaming bears foxes and rare elusive but very dangerous gosh darn big cats!
The scariest thing.
This is two miles from a mall where a traveling circus carnival is parked in the football fields of
Parking lots.
Ferris wheels, shooting games, Tents , a whole mid-way full of parents milling, while kids go screaming through 'hall of mirrors' fun houses and
creepy clowns; day-time strip-joint patrons, hawk bumper car rides and cotton candy
to little girls with painted faces and carnival prize glasses. The whole Carnival bit, watch your pockets lest they get picked.
it is true what they say about carnies....I've worked rigging for them in the past.
I have to try to work out how to use the tablet to post the pictures that I take with it.
That was not what I was thinking when I realized that it was a puma an eastern tan cat.
Six feet long lean, low . . . . . . . . . . well I split...
It is raining off and on,
It is raining on a lot more than off now but the kids were at the carnival so I took a trail I never take and I almost walked into the thing! Sitting hunched up against the dry side of a rock but not invisible or a hallucination . My next door neighbor who bow hunts, and is solid saw a bear in the four acre not so swamp that runs between house on a hillside full of houses in a standard grid dead end or 'lollipop ' pattern.
The thing is I know where the bear den is. . .
The very real risks of cursing the urban wilds, it was more better back in the old days when the most dangerous things would also kill you but one way or another they almost always did themselves,
right there in the camp..
Or often they went walk in' off the last step was the last step.
Then it would close the crag for months.
first step or just the bump

Haha haha haha, that was silly cute the wife's smiling too thanx.
Smiling the magic smile! Or the manic smile twisted but still grinning.
It would be less cray-cray, the smile, if the week-end were not so very conflicted.
The reverse priority is either way just me is also part of the focus ,in the middle .
Friday night posting drunk then a team meeting and game at 8 am with a short drive and the second game at 1 pm. Next for a saterday the Nepal relief is on going at the shrine but also weekends they like to see the whole family. Then after two or three hours I emphatically
Need to climb,
The evening starts out having to hear that the school balloon launch by the science club
Was more important than the paid to play team sport, and oh yes
It is customary to see the birthday girl if she is your mother
Think of it she has had birthdays when the calendar has read 6/6/6.
Regardless she is Grandma, and mom and as you guessed still kicking . . .
The Sunday traffic is not worth the traverse across the top of the megalopolis in traffic if it is not to reach better climbing or returning from the Gunks because the camping is all closed,
I am not driving on Sunday afternoon, no way, unless the guilt gets me,
It could be the old girls last at 83 or 4 so the chore is in the pot if to lite and boil is the question from the top.
the thing is I have been in three times to the wall, and not checked my gear cache and now the shrubbery is in, making it impossible to see from below, requiring a bit of a climb into a hole at the top or up the one or two five easy , still a climb up though, to see that rope and tools of the by gone era, are still wrapped in plastic, ca oozed since late fall, the place was bone dry all of December and half of January.
