These injuries give you pause, but the challenge gives a fighting spirit worthy adversary.
Thanks Jeebs. It definitely has put a spin on the way I look at things days. Anything is possible as long as you want to put the work in to make it happen.

That's for sure. One of my buddies is still in the hospital. It's so sad. he's had so many complications because of the medication and getting sick.

I know.. I know lol. I'm starting to see the silver lining in all the body awareness I've gained from this incident. The feeling in my left big toe is starting to come back. Now if my foot could just feel normal again instead of buzzing all the time.. it seems like that is going to happen though. It will just take time.
You'll keep mending for some years to come (this is good)! Thanks Glenn. Looking forward to roping up this summer.

Thanks Keith. This is a good point too. As many have said on here it is often harder on the partner. This is certainly true and I've been making efforts lately to help Sandra more in this regard. It`s been difficult indeed but so far, we seem to surviving the storm.

Hey Big Mike, you still on the Lyrica? Yea or nay can you discuss a little bit about your experience with this drug? Did it help and if so, how? And for how long? Did you notice when you 'went off it' or forgot a dose or three?
Happy to see you doing so well. I'm doing pretty good too. Been meaning to ask you more about Lyrica; its been on my mind lately.

I ditched Pregabalin about 2 and a half months after my injury. The doctors switched me to Gabapentin for a couple weeks and then I ditched that too.
I definitely noticed a slight increase in the shooting nerve pain frequency initially, but after 4 or 5 days that eased quite considerably.
I still have nerve pain occasionally but it's usually in an area that i haven't had sensation since my injury. For example the other night my left big toe was hurting, and now I can kinda feel it when I kick the table with it. lol
I didn't really notice any side effects of coming off it per say. Not like these opiates which really have an effect on my mood i'm coming to find out. I have more to write on that later..
How is the drop foot coming? if it's still bugging you, get that dictus i was talking about and you'll have it sorted out within the month!!!
