You might have noticed that denial is a chief inner defense of people who have been sheepwashed into parroting panicked talking points.
Not that I agree with Obama on everything, I don't, but it's not over made up quirky panic points like "he ain't american, he's a socialist, and so on"
It's about Afghanistan, the Bush terror rules he hasn't repudiated and his failure to clean up the dirtiness of the previous administration.
Bush pushed through prescription drugs for seniors, wasn't that just as socialist as anything Obama has ACTUALLY proposed (not what you FEAR he would do)
Just Karl Rove mind-f*#k at work here folks
Peace

These TEA parties just sprang up with no organizing? Really?
Where is the money coming to support that? Anyone got data on this?
Any illegalities there?
CChopper must have researched that as background before making his Acorn push.
That would be necessary homework.
To go through the Saudi Prince thing twice in one day?
Ouch!

That's all I'm gonna say about this ACORN bullsh*t. Just another shiny thing that the GOP is waving in front of the brainless masses to divert their attention away from the real news:
*The Recession is over, on Obama's watch
*Socialized healthcare is coming to the US
OK, maybe that second one is not quite true.
Anyway, if you are going back and forth on this whole ACORN Krap®, then you are feeding right out of the hands of the GOP media monkeys.
Keep your eye on the ball, and don't let those idjuts change the channel.

ACORN showed up at a McCain rally or two when Mr. suck up was on his way to defeat.
Obama was their lawyer and mentor.

A little local column from the local leftists, but has some accurate points.
"Guest View: How Obama lost his 2012 re-election bid
By Norma Jeanne Strobel and Ralph E. Shaffer
Posted: 09/13/2009 07:09:49 AM PDT
It was August 2009 when Barack Obama began his third "hundred days" and his re-election committee was already having trouble raising money. They had a greater problem keeping his supporters in line, even though the country remained euphoric over the election of "The First Black President."
By November 2012, the euphoria was gone and the nation agonized over the re-election defeat of "The First Black President."
How did it happen?
By Election Day, Obama had served through 13 Hundred Days. Yet Americans still awaited passage of a genuine health insurance reform plan, an end to ever increasing unemployment and across the board tax hikes, and congressional action to provide more Cash for Clunkers, cell phones, analog television sets and Nike running shoes.
Most disappointing was the long delayed closing of Guantanamo. By then Obama had opened a half-dozen more Guantanamos to house all the unlawful enemy combatants taken in Afghanistan.
Voters thought he spent too much time in world summits and doing TV interviews to effectively run the nation. Unlike Franklin Roosevelt, with whom he often compared himself, Obama didn't hold Fireside Chats. Instead, he relied on Rose Garden "Beer Summits" to reach the common man. When his teleprompter failed during the campaign, doubts arose about his eloquence. "Town hall" campaign rallies were canceled because without the teleprompter he couldn't answer the pre-known questions.
He lost

the peaceniks when he sent the surge into Afghanistan during his second Hundred Days. Those on the far, far left gave up on Obama when he repeated for the tenth time that he believed in capitalism and the free market. The naive young grunts from MoveOn.org, instrumental in his 2008 victory, abandoned the Obama bandwagon, thoroughly disillusioned because the administration's transparency revealed that there was little change. Community organizers deserted him after he failed to muscle Congress into appropriating funds for inner city programs.
Who still supported Obama? Blue Dog Democrats - the same conservatives who beat up his health insurance bill and killed his fifth stimulus bill. They figured he was easier to control than other presidents.
That stimulus bill, like earlier ones, carried an Obama promise to save five million jobs and create thousands of new ones. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported unemployment at 12 percent but the rest of the country put unemployment close to the 36 percent reached in the "Hoover Boom."
How did America react to the re-election defeat of "The First Black President?"
Rev. Jeremiah Wright blamed the defeat on Obama's "moral decay," reflected in his defection from Wright's church. Al Sharpton attributed it to festering racism that exposed the jubilation over Obama's 2008 victory as a sham. Rush Limbaugh saw it as testimony to Rush's brilliance in denouncing Obama's socialistic presidency. Those Democrats and Independents who stayed home on Election Day were guilt ridden. Had only a few of them voted, Obama would have won in the lowest presidential election turnout ever - low because the winning opponent had alienated voters as well.
At the inauguration, Obama was the model of decorum. The president-elect was equally gracious. When Chief Justice Sotomayor asked if the winner accepted the oath of office, the president-elect tilted her head slightly, cast a sly smile in the direction of the outgoing president, winked and said: "With thanks to the help and inspiration from my Vice President-elect Ann Coulter, and the great support of the NRA, you betcha, dang tootin, yes, I do! And, oh yes, so help me God, of course."

TGT, isn't it time for you to do a little teabagging with your favorite Repug whackjob?
BTW, did your company get a piece of the Hwy 215 gig, or not? Has your company moved forward on any ARRA-funded projects yet?

I don't do roads.
A press release does not equal a job out to bid.
A politician prancing before the cameras does not equal jobs.
Your 215 job is only on paper at this point. And, I'll bet was proposed and funded from federal and state highway taxes years ago until those funds were diverted from their lawful use.
So far there's only one ARRA job that I know of that will be awarded next month in Lake Arrowhead. The work was already mandated by EPA requirements. All that changed was the funding source and paperwork requirements.

Too bad you aren't a more objective source of information about local ARRA projects, TGT. I'd be curious to know what's actually happening out there, but lord knows I'd never get the straight scoop from you.

So far some pothole filling and sewer repair that would have been funded locally anyway, but not much else.
Jobs with ARRA language just began showing up this month. So far all the major ones have been jobs that had already bid six months ago and were never awarded (canceled) so the agencies could go back after ARRA funding. (just a redirection of the funding source)
As I've stated before, so far the only effect of the ARRA has been to sew confusion as to what products are allowable, generated sometimes blatantly fraudulent claims by suppliers over the origin of their product, and most importantly, delayed the start of previously funded projects while agencies battled for federal funding.
I think I can safely say that except for bureaucrats in Washington, not one job has yet been produced by the ARRA.

Not gettin' any, huh? No wonder you hate Obama so much. I wonder how'd you view this situation if McLame was in office, and had initiated something similar. Wait......
I think I can guess.

If McCain and Barbie had been elected, there would be NO ARRA
to even talk about.
No rebuilding of America's infrastructure, no jobs creation.
Why?
Because it would have been rejected as a big government program.
The amount of the bill allocated to help the states pay unemployment claims and increased Medicaid would have been much
lower, with no extension of benefits.
Nothing would have been passed. The real ugliness of modern
day conservatism would again, as with Shrub, been the program.
And the Republican Recession would be even WORSE for many
people right now while they would twiddle their thumbs and
DO NOTHING.
Because that is what Republicans do, be scared to death of
change, maintain the failing status quo, spend millions
to tell teenagers to just say "no" to sex, deny evolution, ETC .

Total ARRA projects out for bid Kern Co & south. Only one of any significance and it's just a matter of funding a NOAA lab that has been in the works for years.
Not much meat on that stick.

"Libs like to label all dissent to Obama as that which is based in racism. They bring up the race card constantly and reliably. In fact, most dissent to Obama has nothing to do with race. It is rooted in his policy and world view as it applies to the country. With as often as libs bring up race, it makes me wonder whether THEY are the true racists. They are the only ones who keep harping on it. They are the only ones who seem to see race as significant. "
Like I said, racism ended 40 years ago. The only ones being kicked around these days is whitey.
Poor ol whitey!
