The goal is to never raise the debt limit again and hopefully reduce the debt.

Often, Repubs cite the need to use real-world business skills and experience on govt to produce superior results.
In the real world, for a business to do the equivalent of "never raise the debt limit again", is to not ever pay the bills it has accumulated. What kind of business does that sound like?
The US attracts financing from all over the world, because of it's very stable financial structure, and the safety of it's monitary policy. Repubs, using real-world business skills want to throw that over the side of the boat, on the principle that businesses never borrow to finance their activities. Wait. You mean, they do??? You mean, that is what the Stock Market is all about? And Bonds are all about? You mean, borrowing to finance activities is EXACTLY how business operates?
Then what do Repubs have in mind?

"When a company has more liabilities than assets, it is called bankrupt. the accounting fomula is Assets=Liabilities + Capital."
That's an apples-oranges comparison, fattrad, since government is not a business. But if you want to apply it, then if 'liabilities' are things like entitlements and debts, then 'capital' is revenue...which for the government, means taxes. In order to improve assets, liabilities need to be decreased, and capital (revenues, in this case) need to be increased.

Stop taxpayer funds to Bachmann's anti-gay clinic.
So-called gay conversion therapy has been denounced by the scientific and medical communities as ineffective, and potentially dangerous.
But an investigation earlier this month by Truth Wins Out1 exposed that this hateful practice is used by the "quality Christian counseling clinic" owned by Michele Bachmann and her husband2 -- a clinic which was recently discovered to have received over $137,000 in federal Medicaid funds, in addition to $24,000 in other state and federal funds.2
Oh the irony of double standards.

Jeff clearly is not one of the usual right wing nuts we so often given the chance to enjoy. The war was unnecessary and he says it, Jeff does leave out that "backbone" would have required W implement a military draft. Even the use of mercenaries, something entirely new, could not provide needed manpower. And that "backbone" would have run up the deficit/taxes by perhaps another trillion dollars.
But he does say right out, it was all for nothing. Props.
I take all of this back if Jeff is not referring to W. That would be the normal mindless right wingery.
I really would hate to be one of the guys now waiting months to get unfunded VA medical care for the leg that was blown off, unnecessarily.
