Let's talk about entitlement programs like social security and medicare...Fattrad , donald Thompson, skipt and TGT are against these so called entitilement programs inspite of the fact that the benefactors have contributed to these programs thru-out their lives with the goal of drawing upon their contributions when they retire.....the hypocrisy that fattrad and his gang of neo-conservatives conveniently forget to mention is that they continue making a profit , while they sleep , off of other peoples investments in the almighty stock market...care to explain how the stock market is not an entitlement or pyramid scheme.....? .is this stock market just another nanny state for the privaledged..?

Goddamnit I agree with Rokjox - I hate it when that happens:

When you let the opposition frame the debate and define its terms, you will lose immediately, and you will never understand what happened.

The Repubs are MUCH better at this particular game than the Dems. I think it has to do with their shameless ability to stand in front of a camera and lie through their teeth with a smile.

Just like with Norton, I will not be able to accept your wager. I've seen too many people posting with too many financial issues to even take a chance that I might put someone in distress. Maybe I would consider it if we could go two years without a "FEST".

It other words...I'm a chickenshit with little to no balls who has been wrong on every major candidate I have endorsed in the last four years.

the inevitable results of a nationalized health care system:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/8668906/NHS-delays-operations-as-it-waits-for-patients-to-die-or-go-private.html

that's right, the system much beloved and touted by libs is trying to force people to pay for PRIVATE HEALTH CARE in order to save money...the patient's alternative? DIE

so alan grayson was half right about politicians wanting americans to diel he was simply wrong about their political affiliation

let's see, how will libs respond to this PROOF that the government is incapable of providing safe, fast, and efficient health care? of course, call for more government oversight to oversee the government oversight that's meant to oversee the government's health care system

Since 2000 we have lived in a country that had relatively high profits all around (record high profits if anyone remembers), lower wages, and few taxes.

All of these things, the economists and right wing pundits tell us, leads to greater times for everybody.

Yet here we are deep in the middle of an economic caldron of sh#t and the right wing seems to be hell bent on making things worse.

What do people do when they need money. Many things, I know. But one of those things would be get a job.
Now, if it were the case that there were such things as "job creators" then there would always be adequate enough jobs for most everyone, seeing how for the last 30 years the number of millionaires has grown to how many? How many billionaires are there now? And still the highest unemployment since the last great depression.

The right is a crock.
The right wing punditry is a total crock.
The longer you listen, the more dumb you become.

The right seems to have a very dangerous mental disorder. I know this was used by the right to describe the left in the past, but if the shoe fits, no what I'm sayin?

An example from the top for all self serving politicians!

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/jul/31/biden-charging-secret-service-cottage-rental/

“The cottage was an existing rental property at the time the Secret Service signed its lease,” said Kendra Barkoff, a spokeswoman for Mr. Biden.

Last year, Mr. Biden and his wife, Jill, reported earning $379,178, including $11,000 in income from the cottage, according to the Bidens’ tax return. The Bidens did not list any rental income for 2009.

The Secret Service was the contracting agency on the two purchase orders so far that have paid Mr. Biden $13,200 combined for use of his cottage.

The first purchase order to Mr. Biden for $2,200 was signed April 1, 2011, and the second for $11,000 was signed June 2. The records both list Mr. Biden by name as the vendor under a section of the purchase order called “contractor information.” The purchase order describes Mr. Biden as a sole proprietor with no employees and no annual revenue.

Fatty you do understand that there is a conservative government in power in the UK, don't you?...They have been trying to get rid of the NHS for years, so yes, they are trying to squeeze the NHS wherever possible. Hence the dishonest article you post above. Unfortunately for the conservatives the NHS operates very efficiently and well (as I can attest thanks to an ugly incident in Pembroke two weeks ago) and is extremely popular with the british people.

Of course according to you, they should probably swap their relatively cheap and efficient system for our very expensive and inefficient system and somehow in Republagumby world at least, that would be better for the UK.

Tell me again about Socialists...a could use a laugh this afternoon.

TGT, always the cut-n-paste King Clown of IdiotTown.

Try adding a little honesty and context...maybe your 180 IQ son could explain those words to you.

The U.S. Secret Service does more than protect Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. — the agency also pays him rent...

Officials say the arrangement came about when a previous tenant moved out of the cottage and the Secret Service moved in.

Edwin M. Donovan, special agent in charge at the Secret Service’s Office of Government and Public Affairs in Washington, said the agency pays $2,200 in rent per-month, the same amount a previous tenant had paid before moving out.

The dumbass wingers can't even be original, they tried this line of bullshit on Clinton too:

After angry callers kept insisting that the Secret Service is paying enough rent to Bill and Hillary Rodham Clinton (for space on their property in Chappaqua, N.Y.) to underwrite the Clintons’ mortgage, we checked with the agency that protects presidents, former presidents and their families. Secret Service spokesman Jim Mackin told us that the agency is paying the Clintons only around $1,100 a month — a figure based on a government formula and the standard arrangement in such situations.

How does if feel to be Sofa King Stupid?

2ND-hand account from a 3rd party? What was is it, a cut and a visit to emergency?

I'm talking serious healthcare and science behind the care. Sustained healthcare technology. Ya know?

You don't go to Cuba or Canada for cancer treatment, or heart surgery. You come here. Ya know why?

Talk to an illegal alien after a car accident with life-threatening injuries.

You think they get turned away? Even if the driver was drunk? They get treated at our expense through hospitals that are going bankrupt.

It doesn't work. There needs to be people paying into the system through insurance, kinda like taxes supporting our government.
