Wow John! You never told me that! How are you doing these days! Thanks again for the phone call, what a shock! I almost didn't believe it was really you!! Made my month!
It's difficult man I feel your pain in your post, your bummed brother. I am too for you but here's the deal. Your still in recovery man. Refocus and do your rehab. Don't slack! Business is business ups and downs ride it and realize you can only control so much and make the best of that day and moment in which you are dealing with.
You're right dude. I know it too, I've been out before, but never this long, so this is kinda new for me.
BIG props to you, Mike! I wish I would have found this thread earlier. Your attitude is inspirational, and your recovery is nothing short of amazing. Keep strong! If I ever have the pleasure of meeting you, the beers are on me!
Thanks ncrock! I look forward to it!!

You are doing exceptionally well for how short an amount of time it has been since your injury, Mike. Just think how well you will be doing by next Fall!
Hope that you and Sandra have a fantastic trip to the Valley!!

I just saw Brownie on his way to the Valley. You guys are set. Are you in town tonight? Give me a call, maybe we can do dinner.
still using the hydromophone. sparingly though,
Pain. Not fun. I had a bad gout attack in my elbow a few days ago and after 3 ibuprofen gel-tabs, I still couldn't sleep. One dilaudid later and I was snoring. It's nice to have a stash of Hydromorphone.

Mike, so glad to see that things are steadily improving for you. Keep rehabbing and keep your positive attitude toward everything and in no time you'll be progressing right back to where you were, and it'll be sweeter than ever
Thanks Weston! Still hoping to make it back to Vegas this winter! We'll see how the funds work out. Gonna have to bust ass to make that happen!
Glad to see ya doing better Big Mike. You got good people around you. Hope everything keeps getting better for you physically and every where else in life.
Thanks Dirt! I've been really fortunate with the amount of support I've received. I can't thank everyone enough for that!!
Ya Relic!! Too bad you can't make it this time. Next time for sure!!

Thanks Wayne. I know, it's just frustrating sometimes. ;) I'm stoked to be where I'm at for sure!
Mike, your timing is impeccable...
I know eh Bruce? At least I get lucky occasionally!! :) what was it you said last year? "Like rats deserting a sinking ship!" :)
Thanks Wayno! Sorry we didn't make it out!

we were just talking about Sierra mountain climbing and came to the conclusion that it was cheating by any definition of the term.
That's why I call it Sierra rock climbing on mountains Bruce- Either way it beats the sh#t outta the rain :-)

Have fun down there Mike. We all miss your trip reports, hint hint.
As far as weather and rock quality California climbers are spoilt rotten. Like when I tried to get my old toyota's front end steering fixed down there. The mechanic came back and said he couldn't work on it. I inquired why thinking it was unfixable. He stated a matter of factly that it had rust and we don't work on rusty cars. OH MY GOD RUST, it's the end of the world!

Hey Mike, are you guys gonna maybe take a drive to the Eastside perhaps? A rest day in the hot springs, drinking some 395 might be wise after all that garbage pickin and wall sending.
Show Brownie the Eastside life. Get him psyched!

hey there say, big mike.... wow, glad to hear from you again, missed seeing you on the facebook, so i figured or hoped you were out doing stuff... and:
feeling better and well...
say, the clue to not feeling down/bummed, is to keep
focusing what is there before you to do,that you CAN DO... and,
be thankful that you are NOT back where you were when you fell :O
and--stay around those that help feed good goals that you are trying
for... and--
relax in the middle of any hard tries, as you make sure you
don't set any tries up that are far TOO HARD, ;))
strength is build in sessions, as we all know... each session
leads to a better plateau...
GOOD to hear from you!!!!
god bless!!!
