Yeah Reilly, it was amazing how much better England looked without Alli and Sterling on.
And as a Gunner, I'm not supposed to like Harry Kane, but he definitely gets the job done. There are few better pure strikers in the game today.

The Rooskies shouldn’t get too carried away, Saudis were horrible and Egypt probably punched above their mediocrity. That said Russia is better than I expected. The Russian defense allowed a lot of chances that Egypt’s lack of quality finishing didn’t punish. Really hoped for more from Egypt.
Pretty disappointed with Columbia. If S American teams converted the energy they expend on diving and whining into playing they would go farther. Very happy for Senegal. They have some studs and Cissé is the coolest coach around.

Unless the District of Columbia has a team in this event (I don't think so, haven't been following closely but it's possible I suppose, I know the various parts of UK have different teams)--the country is Colombia. They get vary mad when you use use a U instead of an O, doesn't make much sense to me, but it's a big deal to them apparently.

It was but the Polak ref should have given Sverige the first half penalty.
Sveriges late sub Durmaz was a real goat with that truly stoopid foul, eh?
Maybe they can beat Mexico? I’ll be watching that game in Oslo!

So apparently if Sweden were to beat Mexico 1-0, and Germany beat SK 1-0, all three teams would have identical records and 3-2 goal differential. Assuming no more red cards, Germany would go home based on Boateng's red card. How crazy is that?

Not a big fan of Serbia (a good friend is Bosnian) but I gotta say they were done for by the German ref. As the British commentators here called it “Did we tune in to a rugby match?”
A number of other refs have condoned the penalty area wrestling, if to a lesser degree than that German.

season today with ManU defeating Leceister City 2-1 (Jamie Vardy made it competitive in the dying minutes of the game)!
