well since I posted Walt and Foz and since I'm just sitting here drinking coffee blasting Tiesto - thought I'd put Tucker up cause he's a part of this forum even if he don't post.
The gold standard for Dirtbags the World over: before ya start thinkin' you're hard core, better check out 'ol Tuckers scene.
Ive heard him called an American Legend...hmm.
Here's lookin at ya Tucker - best climbing partner I ever had.
I was there when he nearly tore his ear off at the base of Elephant rock and I was in JTree when he showed up on his frickin' bike having ridden it from like the SF bay, with his gear.
Good Friend - Todd Gordon's thread was awesome.

Too bad Piqua C can't rename the thread:
"Welcome to Lake Wobegon, where all the climbers are strong, all the children are good-looking, and all the ST campers are above average."

Ah, back in the day, before I tried to get healthy. This was a fine breakfast, had while still in my -40 degree bag at Josh in 1973.

If we're posting photos from memory lane, then this is a clipping from the Aspen Times of me when I was an animal control officer in Aspen way back when. I believe Michael Kennedy was the editor at that time...

I just caught Michael Hjorth’s post on climbing in Gothenberg, Sweden. I really like that city, with the cool industrial port, water taxis, and the main shopping street with unique shops. A very pleasant place to visit (with Volvo’s diesel truck business, there are regular conferences there that all the diesel geeks like to attend. Everyone thinks we are roughing it.)
The first time I visited your country, I flew to Stockholm and spent the weekend doing the old city tourist thing and poked around the Vasa Museum, which clearly illustrates why Monarchs should not interfere in the design of ships. Funny that its purpose was to keep the Poles in line and it sank in the harbor on its maiden voyage-—there is joke in there somewhere. I stayed in one of the hotels right on the water, across from the old city. Very pretty.
I also quickly realized that Swedes don’t sound like Minnesotans: they sound like TV news casters. I wonder why Minnesotans talk the way they do?
I then drove from Stockholm to Gothenberg. I had expected to see some of your country. Instead I saw the highway as if from Ann Arbor to Grand Rapids, Michigan-—a fine highway cut through a dense forest. Man, the glaciers cleaned Sweden’s clock on that last run.
I stayed the night in Jönköping on Lake Vättern. It was a Sunday night, and I was a little worried that I might not find a place to eat. No worries, the receptionist tells me.
“The ‘Twin Cities’ is open," she says.
I startle a bit, and ask “You mean, like in Minnesota?”
She points the way. The place is a nice restaurant serving American classic cuisine and real martinis.
In Gothenberg, I get an afternoon and evening free to poke around, shop for some cool glass and hand woven throws to prove to my bride that I was working all week. As I sit in a sidewalk café with an American colleague, I comment that many of the women are beautiful, just like the Swedish Bikini Team commercial for Old Milwaukee beer, but they don’t have blond hair.
Then I look more closely: blonde roots.

Hey Bluey--there's nothing wrong with getting in touch with your feminine side on this forum! (It'll really help you out on the "Clueless" thread...) ;-)

He better be a crag-dog or he shouldn't be on this thread of Supertopian pics. At least a future crag dog. They're good at keeping varmits away. They love diving in holes too! It's kinda instinctual in their breed. I have a similar pup.

Roger -- your comments and Michael's have got me psyched to climb at Gothenberg, if that should be in the cards this summer.
"The best climbing in Denmark is in Sweden," so I'm told.
To keep with the photo theme, here's another Dane (Anders Strange Nielsen) climbing in Sweden:

That baby dox is really cute... we had a standard for 15 years. He weighed in at 35 pounds. Biggest dang dachshund I ever saw.
We lost him in 2003. He was the best! His name was Fred.

Janet,
Lock the doors and join the NRA. You got your hands full with such young beauty.
I know. My babies are both XX and 16 and 17 years old. I have to make a 12 hour prior reservation to use the phone. We won't even talk about the bathroom.
Charles Barleley got it right. "Just let the first boy friend go missing. Word will get around."
