Obama has not gone to the old tired playbook of over stimulation, feast/famine, corporate orgy shitt.
Simple free market, modest, yet sustainable growth with sensible regulations that have allowed me to successfully compete against my competition and weed out those that cheat on labor and insurance.
Aside from Obama Care which has insured over 20 million, nothing has substantially changed in terms of policy with the exception of unfunded tax breaks for the rich, mega costly wars/foreign policy and huge military spending increases (erroneously pitched to to stimulate the economy).
It's not great but it has been reliable, predictable and if you apply yourself and addapt- it's a hell of a lot better than the Republican roller coaster. Low risk personal savings and moderate consumption means they can't turn your money into their money- plain and simple.
