Sure wish I could be there, Todd. Your spirit and your family (which you so generously share with us on ST) always bring a smile to my face and lighten my heart. I know the party will be a great success in all ways.

Just got home from my rad job at Nomad Ventures :D and cooking the pork for the white bean and jalapeno pork stew while deveining shrimp for the ceviche.
Cosmic, can you bbq ??? will need someone for the flat meat beef and another for the marinated chicken.
What a day. Next door neighbors grandchild gal, 5 years, was climbing on the barn roof (no one knew about her explorations) and fell @ 15-20 feet thru the skylight onto concrete. Thankfully she is good. Lots of stiches in her face and a few facial fractures, life flighted to hospital. Gotta teach her not to solo and take her climbing roped up. Yikes......

As the party date nears, I would like to say thanks to all the people who have helped out and are helping out. For my family and I,....we are very grateful and appreciative of all the help and support. We are a struggling family,...no doubt;......We aren't hooked up to kidney machines, dying of cancer, or in a wheelchair, and I know there are many who are way more needy than our family,....but people want to help us out and we say thank you.
The roof is done, which is something we never would have ever been able to afford;......a thousand thanks for that one. Our fund raiser $ will go to the needs of our family;....home repairs, tires and brakes on our vehicles, money borrowed from our family members, maybe a down payment on a vehicle that can fit all 5 of us in, pay for the portie potties, band, food, party stuff, ...and, of course, bolts and hangers..(you knew it was coming....).....
More important than the $, is the gathering of the tribe in the spirit of helping, caring, and sharing. It means alot to me, to the climbing community, and represents a world that aint so messed up as it sometimes seems to us. I shared my home to the climbing world for a couple of decades, meet alot of very very cool people, and "lived the life..."....pretty much. Those who spent more than 300 days at my house (there are only about 70 of you), and those who took over 500 showers at my house (probably not more than 100 or so), and those that had sex with skanky women in my own bed while I was in Moab for spring break (shame on you...)......yeah;........buy a couple extra raffle tickets....(there are some killer swag for the raffle....)......and let's call it even steven.........bottom line is;.....we share what we have and look after each other and take care of each other.......my family and I appreciate it. Look forward to seeing everyone in a few days, and thanks again for everything.....it's a damn good feeling to know that my community has "got my back" and is looking after me and my family;...I got your back too, my friends.....thank you.....

The fest is really shaping up to be a grand event. So many people are coming from great distances to show their love for the Gordon's and join together with others that feel the same. A terrific display of our community - we should all be proud to be a part of such a wonderful group.
As many of you are planning on heading out early I wanted to pass along some requests from our Guest of Honor.
New, old or future friends are welcome at Todd's house anytime from Friday morning to Sunday mid-day. Todd is taking Friday off work to prepare the Ranch. Helping hands welcome before and after the Fest for clean-up appreciated.
Drive slow in neighborhood, don't block driveways and don't scream and act like maniacs while walking to/out from the ranch. This is a residential neighborhood - please respect the neighbors.
Bring Beer - The kegs that the AAC are sponsoring will NOT last. In ALL previous Fests the beer had run dry long before the party ended. We've left late-comers, volunteers and even band members with no suds. So if you're wondering where you could kick in and what to bring.... the answer is BEER! There should be some coolers and ice so grab a sixer to two and head on up.
Please bring more women! Todd wants to see the ladies - he sees enough of the old dudes drinking beer and wants more women to attend. Great opportunity to bring your sister, cousin, wife, girlfriend or just a gal pal. Get 'em out here!
Kids can attend, but it's not really a kid party......adult drinking, some pot smoking, foul language, loud music, and not a lot of kids.
Please, no dogs. We all know that your dog (like ours) is an angel and not the problem but.............there is always problems and chances are your Fito was there. Todd has personally requested that you leave the pooch at home.
Cooking or prepping is to be done at your own rig or stove. There is plenty of space & outside water to cook and prepare your grub. The kitchen is off-limits for common use.
Utilize Port-a-Potties. The inside loo(s) are closed for public use. Clean potties are being delivered for when you need them. Guys and gals that still like to tinkle behind the bush - have at it. #2 or for the more civilized.......use the port-a-johns.
Don't steal
Stay and support the band! "The Eldo prancers and sport climbers, beefers and peeble-wrestlers that go to bed at 9 PM are pathetic" Party-goers should plan to stay until AT LEAST midnight to support the band and the gathering of the tribe.
NO UNDERAGE DRINKING. If and when the cops come, that is the ONLY thing they are looking for....not pot or too many people...but UNDERAGE DRINKING.
DON'T DRINK & DRIVE! Bring your bivy sack or sleep in your front seat but don't get behind the wheel and drive off if you're impaired. Todd has graciously offered to let whomever sleep at the house. He has multiple acres and plenty of space. Bring tent, bag or whatever and plan on staying if you're going to get blotto!
Most importantly - have FUN! Todd is so thankful and humbled by the response people have shown for this event, in his honor. Wear a smile, bring a few stories and have a great time!
Thanks everyone, looking forward to seeing you on Saturday!
