See all these people in this thread trying to change the world independently.

But god won't give them the source code.

They are doomed to fail .....

Enough with the healthcare for awhile...how about that
suspicious Chicago suicide of Blago's money man on Friday!

How tragic and perhaps convienent that the Chief Fund Raiser for ousted Illinois Gov Rod Blagojevich; 'Christopher Kelly' has died of an apparent overdose of pain medication the day he was to start a 3 year jail term for corruption.

Our hearts goes out to his wife, Carmen, his three daughters, Grace, Jacqueline, and Claire, and his entire family. They are in our prayers. (Rod however is praying thankyou sat*n, I am your servant...)

The Pay for Play scandal that brought down Gov Blago and the upcoming corruption trial and possible conviction hinged on
getting money man 'Christopher Kelly' to testify against his former boss in return for a possible time served suspended sentence.

He will be unable to testify now that he is dead.

And remember, My Good Friend, don't forget to add that it is an evil thing to be white in America. We who are should be self-scorning. Oh Gosh, I shall just have to hate myself a tad bit more for being white and evil. I know, I know.....everything is my fault, and your fault and Largo's fault....etc. We are just all so terrible. EVERYTHING (bad) which happens to anyone is our fault, right? The people, themselves, who are currently "oppressed" by us, had absolutely no role in it.

This anti-rant by Howweirdean is simply his projection of the guilt aversion I mentioned last week, whereas the far right can admit to no wrong and are seemingly incapible of being accountable for any past bunglings. One step in that direction is apparently as fraught as "socialized" medicine - meaning becoming accountable would unleash the self-hatred Howweirddean is projecting on us. This is the all or nothing thinking we see running down Queer Street.

What's more, so far as that cracker gathering being, well, a cracker gathering, just take a look at the videos. Negros, Mexicans (aren't all brown folk Mexicans?) and Chinamen (hey, they all look alike, so Chinamen they are) were not representing - if you knows what I mean. And when we disparage over the moronic tripe coming from the far right, it's not a thunbs down to all white folk, rather it's that we're so terribly embarassed by this particular tribe, which makes the rest of us Anglos seem like yokels and geeks, totally out of step with main stream values and sensibilites.

PS: What WERE the "positive aspects" of GWBs administration, the lasting stuff, the fruit of which we are now enjoying? And kindly leave off with the foolishness about how he fought for our freedom and kept our country safe and that we owe our liberty, our health (to say nothing of our debt) and our very lives to his proactive response to terrorism.

I could suggest that we all pause to watch the Bears v Packers
game for a bit. Imagine its Liberals v Conservatives and each play
is a violent thrashing of the wrong thinkers of your choice.

Why is the modern right so afraid to do what William F Buckley did nearly 50 years: kick out the kooks?

"And remember, My Good Friend, don't forget to add that it is an evil thing to be white in America."

Umm, whatever, WierdLoisVictim.

Anyway, back to the point: that event yesterday, while impressive, sure looked like a classic cross-section of today's GOP: older, white, mostly male. It keeps on imploding to it's true roots, culling the RINO's and tossing out the moderates (as TGT said he would do to fattrad), until what is left is a bunch of screaming, psycho, unbalanced white people ranting about how they are the victims.

As mentioned, this seems like perfectly agreeable strategy to me- as any beginning poli-sci student can tell you, elections are won by swaying the moderates/middle ground, and the GOP has done everything in it's power to alienate the moderates, and become as unattractive as possible.

Buckley was spot-on: cull the group of the fanatics and wackos, and get back to real, true conservative values and roots. It has been generations since the GOP was truly conservative, and it would be unrecognizable to it's forefathers.

Dear Citizens,

Due to the current financial situation caused by the slowdown in the economy, I, President Obama have decided to implement a scheme to put workers of 50 years of age and above on early retirement.

This scheme will be known as RAPE (Retire Aged People Early). Persons selected to be RAPED can apply to Congress to be considered for the SHAFT scheme (Special Help After Forced Termination). Persons who have been RAPED and SHAFTED will be reviewed under the SCREW program (Scheme Covering Retired-Early Workers).

A person may be RAPED once, SHAFTED twice and SCREWED as many times as I, President Obama deem appropriate. Persons who have been RAPED could get AIDS (Additional Income for Dependants & Spouse) or HERPES (Half Earnings for Retired Personnel Early Severance).

Obviously persons who have AIDS or HERPES will not be SHAFTED or
SCREWED any further by me, President Obama.

Persons who are not RAPED and are staying on will receive as much SH#T (Special High Intensity Training) as possible.

I, President Obama have always prided myself on the amount of SH#T I provide our citizens. Should you feel that you do not receive enough SH#T,
please bring this to the attention of your Congressman, who has been trained to give you all the SH#T you can handle.

Sincerely,

President Obama

P.S. Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas and oil, as well as current market conditions, the Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off.

WeirdLoisVictim (sorry I just thought that name was too funny) said: "Now, here, Buddy, you and I are on the same page. I am with you on this one. I parallel your sentiments as you just expressed them. We absolutely DO need heath care reform. It is a question of how, when and in what manner."

Yes. So um.....HOW....and in WHAT manner? Don't post rhetorical questions when the time is obviously now. In 2006 and 2008 Americans put people in power in part because they ran on strong pro-healthcare reform platforms. That Obama is tackling healthcare should be a surprise to NOBODY. He said he would over and over and over again. So stop pretending like this is some sort of intellectual exercise. If you want to raise a point NOW is the time. If you don't actually have anything to contribute then why are you speaking at all.

Also Largo:

I really appreciate the well composed and candid manner in which you choose to participate in these discussions. You have always been one of my heroes and it's great to see the pen that I normally only read in the context of spinning yarns about the vertical world turned on the contemporary (and inflammatory) issues of our present society.

What's crazy is that they hired some ex-circus workers to use those patrol vehicles and they can actually fit an entire SWAT team in one.

Largo...
We start by slashing the government payroll by twenty percent and reducing saleries much as saleries are being reduced in the private sector. Government employees (prison guards, road crews, court officials, Highway Patrol, sanitation and sewage, et al) can take it - or leave it. Schools will just have to get by somehow. We'll probably have to cut out all sports, art, music, and social sciences, and get back to the basics of spelling and old-style math, as well as a little bible study. American was built on the bible. Don't forget it or we'll all die.

I guess you want to sell that book of yours under cost?
