"Sperm. Sperm is the best lubricant"
Any particular variety?
I've heard that Moose Spooge is especially slippery.
Or maybe people on the Mediterranean Diet - all that olive oil you know.

Awww, Jim, are you trying to get in my pants? I'm nowhere near as accomplished as Jeff Apple Benowitz. I'm blushing though. XOXO! YAY!
What is the freezing point of polar bear sperm anyway?

Some interesting discussion on waxing!!
I got out on Christmas Eve with my pops!
Mt Washington parking lot sunrise.
We were seventh chair on the Eagle express that day. 10cm's overnight but much more in the trees and blower snow! Very unusual for Vancouver Island fare!
Dad on the Eagle
The trees here look amazing because it comes in so wet that they get coned over and they look like big candy canes.
Top of the Eagle pano.
I tuckered him out mid afternoon and went for a little walk to the peak to find me a few faceshots!
What a view.
The Georgia Straight had cloud cover all day so no shots of the ocean unfortunately.. Maybe next time!!

Finally got around to skiing in Colorado, something I had somehow missed out on prior to today.
My son is visiting from Massachusetts, so I treated him to a day on the local bump.

Happy to see mt Washington in good condition. Nice pics Mike.. It's been years since I've been there, forgot how nice the scenery is.
Thx also for sharing your pics of the kooteneys, and JB's coastal tree skiing.. Keeping my stoke up, that's for sure..keep em coming!
Meanwhile, as I convalesce and wait to heal, im watching winter from within...

The early season skiing in the Tahoe Sierra is the best it's been in many years. All that great powder got a 2 foot load of Sierra Cement dumped on it Monday followed by a light rain up to 7,000+ ft. Now we looking forward to a cold front that will dump 1 to 2 feet up on the summit starting early tomorrow morning with snow levels down to 2500 ft. We'll be back in the powder tomorrow through Christmas day and the weekend, I couldn't be happier!!
It happened, epic powder conditions front and backcountry in the Tahoe Sierra....

I WAXED!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!!
My skins.
The monsoon cometh around here. 65 mph avg winds, gusts to 112 on Sunburst.
Rain to 2000 feet. (That's a wee bit over 600 meters for you Canuckistanis.)
Wet skins down low traveling into pow up high, (4 feet in the last few days) means an extra sticky 10 lbs of snow on the skins. Didnt notice any extra friction on the schuss down, just plenty of teeth grinding pain in the knee still. Skiing 30" of glop is work, with or without wax. Looks like a gnarly storm cycle settling in, time to go tinker around until it blows itself out.
Maybe time for peace offering to ULLR? A sacrificial burning of some of Jimbos "special sauce"? YAY!!! XXOXO!

How's that for a trail map Mike? Whistler/Blackcomb trembles in fear at the thought of Badger. Gnar was totally shredded yesterday.
Highlight was following a car with chains on straight pavement and not getting what a turnout is. Pretty funny when a line of thirty cars is sending honks at the lead car. Driving Yosemite in the summer is funny, hilarious in the winter.

Man, what a snow year! Unfortunately I f*#ked my knee/ankle a week ago as my bindings do not release and I had an edge that was caught and I became mankled. Been on the tele stuff for about 15+ years and boarded about 10 before that. I only boarded on area. Parallel turns do not have the feel that aligns with my stokey lobe so no AT or alpine for me.
Anyone here do any splittin'? I will get a board for the area but I am not so into those zones so much anymore and would like to tour. I hear the tech has come along hella and I need something in the winter to compliment my nordic gig.
Glad y'all are shreddin/slashin' and happy end of the year of shitaqua!

Got out yesterday with my son Michael. Painfully cold, a mandatory facemask day, but no crowds on the slopes or the road.
A great way to end the year!
