Testing the new "light wind" kite. It works as advertised. It lifts a camera in a breeze too light to move the flags.

Remember the restroom key on the trashcan lid or the 2X4?

I wonder if anyone returned this with liquid in it?

A quarter? How about a yardstick?

Everything is better in Utah...

All I can figger is they;re tryin' to get those fumes up into the jet stream
so they can share them with Colorado.

Speaking of Colorado...

Talk about 'sleeper agents'! Man, Fattrad's gonna go ballistic!

And ya gotta feel for those poor souls in Aspen. They had a serious parking
problem over the Labor Day weekend... The Horror!

And speaking of Aspen...
"Dood, chill out! Of course I'm takin' yer picture. Yer ridin' the wrong
way down the middle of a busy street and ya got the weirdest necklace on!
Oh, yeah, and yer too old to be acting this way!"

A group of middle school and high school students from Bishop, Calif.,
plan to observe the shower from the stratosphere where the sky is dark
even at noontime.

NASA says the 15 students have been launching helium balloons to the edge
of space since May. The space agency added that with more than 95 percent
of Earth's atmosphere is below the balloon, sky above looks almost as
black as it would from a spacecraft, which is perfect for astronomy.

"The students are going to attempt to fly one of our low-light meteor
cameras in the payload of their balloon," Cooke says. "I hope they catch
some Draconid fireballs for us to analyze. They could be the only ones we
get."
