OMG!
I almost posted a retort tonight on a "Politard" thread.
Thank Goddess-------- I ran out of wine mid-post and got to reconsider: then post here.
Just home from a week on the road as a "sales-rep" and I am leaving Monday for a two-week "sales-trip."
I forget "the rules" for this thread?? Am I to talk about liquor first, or bitch about my life-----and why I am not climbing this weekend?
I am adding a new!!! I really did used to climb----photo post to this thread: to add to the drunk-fun.

WOW!
Great Falls Montana for Friday night on my 11 day sales-rep road trip.
On the bright-side: the day went well and I work with good people.
In my motel room watching college football.
Damn!
I used to hate Boise State.
Now: I have to be proud of their "fuking football" team!

Hey all!
Tonight's N/A beer of choice is a Buckler.
My Friday night cigar is a Pinar Del Rio 1878 Cubano Especial Capa Madura. My local shop gave it to me as a freebie to try when I restocked my Liga Privada 9's last night.
Can't go wrong with a free stick. Moderately priced for the quality of the smoke.
Really enjoying my time on the porch tonight as the evenings are finally starting to cool down here in Vegas.
Tomorrow, the fiancee and I are off to Laughlin to do some wreck chasing - looking for a Piper that went down in 81.
Have a great weekend!

Friday night again.
Just got home from a two-week sales-road trip.
Best wishes to those having fun in Yosemite or other mountains.
I have to play "catch-up" for a few days.
Drinking: St Michelle 2007 Syrah wine.
Darn good, but I would rather be mooching Fatrad's red wine in Camp 4.
Have fun------you "Face-lifters."

Woo-hoo! Greetings from the Centre of the Universe and Your Wall Doctor, finally back and safe on the flat ground, and damn glad to be here, lemme tell you.
Hmmmm, three beers on the bridge, on an empty stomach. Um, two glasses of cab here in Yos Village, and I think at least another beer. Just getting warmed up here. First day off the wall, more to follow.

PTPP!
Woohoo and welcome back to horizontal land.
I have got outside of some wine and rum tonight.
I'm posting from home and just getting over a nose cold + traveling for 3 weeks.
My timing is bad!
weather goes to schist in the Northern Rockies this next week.
A story for us-----on another thread that may have died from it today.
This one is for us "fun-lovers."
Sep 30, 2011 - 12:52pm PT
The first summer I owned my outdoor shop in Moscow Idaho: I took a client/climber –Karl, on an overnight climbing trip into Idaho’s Selkirk Mountains.
I knew there were a few Grizzlies in the range, and mentioned that fact to Karl-----after we got there.
Of course as a 1970’s hippie: I wasn’t packing firearms and didn’t even have the usual ice-axe along.
At age 23: I had spent 100’s of nights in the outdoors, but only a few nights outdoors in Grizzly country.
At age 21, Karl had spent few nights outdoors, and it turned out: he was rather apprehensive of Grizzlies.
We backpacked in a few miles to a lake under the peak I planned on climbing, camped, and went to bed in my tent.
I went to sleep, Karl listened for bears. He woke me several times in the night, to tell me he thought he heard something out there.
I would listen and hear nothing, and tell him to go to sleep.
The last time he woke me, his voice was actually quavering, when he told me he could hear something big moving around near the tent.
I listened and heard something big moving around near the tent too. I told him it was probably a deer, and not to worry about it, because we couldn’t do anything about it.
He again asked if there was anything we could do: as the large creature made noises closer to us.
I said yeah: we can both yell on the count of three. I counted and we both yelled, and I could clearly hear a deer running away. I told him it had been a deer and we didn’t have a problem now.
He then asked how I knew it was a deer?
I explained: “Karl, if it had been a Grizzly: the fuker would have eaten us for yelling at it.”
The poor lad didn't sleep a wink that night.

Winter came early to Idaho. The bastard weather gods are at it again!
Snow at City of Rocks and anywhere higher.
Looks like a football Friday night. Go BSU!

Bought a big bottle of Aussie Cabernet Sauvignon, since my climbing plans to City of Rocks next week are fukked. Snow on Casper Mountain, so Fremont Canyon is fukked. Cold at Vedauwoo, so climbing plans are fukked. Need to drink it all so I'm fukked.
P.S. I had to type this 3 times, so I'm already fukked.
