Has the Baltimore ACORN office been caught on tape or not?
Who's lying?
Even the messiah isn't going to keep them out of the pokey.
They are going right under the bus with Van Johnson.

Bob check out the link( http://www.mit.edu/~mkgray/head-explode.html) TGT posted about the Russian chess player who's head spontaneously exploded. That is what I was referring to.
Personally I think this thread has been enormously entertaining.
And only 659 posts to go. Yipee.

I don't know who is more pathetic- Wilson, or the rest of you hillbillys who think he's a hero, and that is the best way to communicate. Do us (that would be US) a favor and neuter yourself immediately (preferably with a rusty garden shear). Better yet, just off yourself and get out of the feckin' way.

Personally, I think Rep. Wilson should have just said the President is wrong on everything.
Its just all in how you phrase it.

Nobody said that was the best way to communicate, apogee. You just like throwing crap out there apparently....
Skully that's part of the problem. Many house speakers don't get a chance to talk to the Prez, unless he agrees to it.
That's what's kinda cool about Brit Parliament, the PM has to come before the house and talk, and have HEATED discussion.

1. "When Obama speaks we all have to wait our turn."
2. "You can never interrupt nor ever speak unless spoken to."
This whole new fangled Hope and Change thing just takes time to sink in for us hillbillies.
You really smart people have it all figured out.

"Skully that's part of the problem. Many house speakers don't get a chance to talk to the Prez, unless he agrees to it."
Such is one of the rules in human affairs. Negotiations are carried on only between people at the same level.
If you run a department and have a problem with an employee in another department you do not talk to that person directly. He can merely say you are interfering with him in the performance of his job. if you are a department manager you go talk to a department manager.
Unequal negotiations are not negotiations.
A member of Congress can talk to the media and to an array of persons at their level in Congress. The Constitution requires only the President accept/reject Congressional legislation and report to the people.
Getting into a heated debate with a member of Congress does no one any good. If the President wants to talk to a member he can do so by inviting them to the WH for a discussion that will be on/off the record as the President so chooses.
If you think on this I think you will see no President, recent or otherwise has done as you suggest they should do.
Now as to the UK parliamentary system there is a huge difference. Parliament can return a vote of no confidence that forces the PM to form a new government. This is not at all like an impeachment. As a result of this difference Prime Ministers do in a sense stand as equal to the Parliament as a whole and so they are more open to debate on the floor of parliament.

"Democrats(Obama) bending the the health care intent (lying), why did they block bill amendments which would have required proof of citizenship to get health care? He/they lie!!!!
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090910/ap_on_go_co/us_illegal_immigrants_fact_check
The evil one "
Uh yeah....
...because the terms were so odious that they would prevent ACTUAL CITIZENS from getting care. But we all know that the idea of a single illegal immigrant getting health care is SO TERRIFYINGLY TERRIBLE that it is well worth blocking citizens from care to keep it from happening.
(Actually in real life the financially smart thing to do would be to give undocumented immigrants insurance because it's cheaper to make sure they get real care than to wait until they show up to emergency rooms with extreme illnesses where we are legally (and morally) required to give them care but come on Republicans don't care about saving money they care about SAYING they want to save money.)
