I think the idea was not so much that he would play on the "traded to" team (would make a valuable sixth man though) as much as then they wouldn't have to play against him.
I'll ask Dave Cowens next time I catch a taxi ride.
BTW, Kevin McHale beat L. Brown James in a one-on-one full court match (losers outs).

Really goes to show you that money and the pursuit of glory can buy anything. I hope the championship is hollow for Kevin Durant, he needed to join the best team to achieve it. In return he ruined the spirt of athletic competition. Ultimately, hardly worth mentioning in the history of NBA Thank goodness there is climbing.

I think the real question is:
Are the current Warriors the best team ever? This type of comparison is fraught with challenges, because it is so difficult to compare teams from different eras.
However, if you were to play this current Warriors team against a 90's Bulls or 80's Lakers or Celtics, the sheer craziness of the 3 point barrage would completely overwhelm the earlier era teams, I believe.
Now trying to compare the current Dubs to the 60's era Celtics is a different question and is quite difficult to answer, though I bet the modern athletes, with all their training and diet science, would prevail.
I'll say it: Best team ever!

Technically speaking "ever" looks forward as well as back, so the statements Do not make sense.
It nonetheless affects me deeply that Mr. Curry's mouth guard apparently tastes so bad that he can't effectively keep it in his mouth for a prolonged period of time.
You might think that he could afford a custom and/or clean one.
Warriors will lose tonight to effectively prolong the series and generate more revenue.
