This attempt to conflate the plight of vets with the refugees as some kind of counterpoint is yet more cowardice. and many of the current vet problems are courtesy of the same neocon clowns who are responsible for the current refugee crisis. How did it go? Oh yeah:
As you know, ah, you go to war with the VA you have---not the VA you might want or wish to have at a later time.
Again, cowards unwilling to be burdened by any of the consequences of our actions. The fear is so palpable and ball-less I'm amazed any of you manage to come up with the goods to leave the ground to climb.

No, you clearly don't have it. This refugee crisis is a direct result of the neocons destabilizing the Mideast. As such we actually bear more responsibility to act in its wake than the EU countries now suffering under that burden. The fact that the same crew is largely responsible for our current Vet problem is coincidental and one has little to do with the other beyond having roots in the same treasonous actions by W's administration.

And, has been pointed out elsewhere, it's far easier for IS to get tourist visas than to acquire refugee status.

(Reuters) –
Reuters reported, “Supporters said the measure would have brought the most significant changes in decades to U.S. veterans’ programs. For example, it called for 27 new medical facilities to help a healthcare system that is strained by veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.”
Susan
There was NOTHING in that bill to house, cloth, feed and employ ALL of the over 55K Homeless Vets SUSAN. Nothing.
Geee Susan, Vets went homeless just in the past couple of years and according to you, it's now the Republicans fault. Got it.
And here is what Hildabeast thinks of all them Homeless Vets..
Despite coming under recent criticism for her extravagant public speaking fees, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has no intentions of backing down on charging groups six figures for hour-long speeches. Sources tell The Heartland Chronicle exclusively that Clinton’s latest speech will be to a group of homeless veterans, after the group finally agreed to pay a staggering figure of $500,000 to Clinton. http://heartlandchronicle.com/news/hillary-clinton-charges-homeless-veterans-500k-for-speech/
Under the watch of Bill Clinton, the number of Homeless Vets was well over 42K.
Go figure...

Uhhh...Chief....Do you realize that the link you gave is to a story that is satirical and not fact-based reporting?
Really - this thread has shown some of the ugliest behavior. Shameful.

Ugly behavior? Like the ISIS attacks on a Russian Jetliner, and the combined killing of over 400 people with the attacks on Paris and Beirut, are NOT ugly behavior?
Got anything Happiegirl that Hildabeast will do anything different for the HOMELESS VETS of this Nation other than the satire I posted above.
Nope. Because she won't. That is why I posted it.
But the part about the number of homeless Vets under her Husband is NOT satire. It is fact. He also is the one that disbanded free health care for Retired Military in 1997. Something of which was put into place after WWI. That too is NOT satire.

yes chief, hillary sucks.
and megapoints to Reilly on the observation that no one cares when black African people are slaughtered in the name of Islam.
more African human beings have been murdered in this thing than whites. And yet, suddenly folks care about the lives of Parisians. Give it a decade or so and suddenly folks care a lot more. Musta been eating some great f*#king baguettes.

I have actually dreamed about this, about busting the top people, the rich people, WHITE people!
said one angry person to the other. and perhaps they had some solid logic to back it up. that is what the folks ignoring/denying our [colonial/imperial/W hemisphere] role in this have to address. or not. f*#k it man, I'm going climbing.

Oh, so it's all or nothing with you now? Isn't going to happen that way.
The Job Creators can help make the job part happen. The company my son works for (a private business) gives hiring priority to Vets. Corporate profits are at an all time high. Perhaps if the "government" would allow them to bring back their huge off shore bucks without a penalty if said profits were to help Vets some progress could be made.
The same folks scream for "smaller" government, yet yell for government services and increased entitlements, go figure.
But then again, you have an answer for everything. Good for you.

My previous comment, Re: Jerry Brown has agreed to take in the refugees. My comment was very tongue in cheek and ironic! I was happy to see him standing there like an idiot a$$hole, so the 30 other states which have said no can later on say "we told you so." We sure as Hell don't want them in Wyoming.
Re: homeless veterans; they sure deserve use of the funding targeted for relocation of 10,000 Syrian "refugees," most of whom are of military ages between 18 and 45. Hmmmm?

What does anything in the above post have to do with the Gov't (NOT CORPORATIONS who do not owe the Veterans a thing) of the United States of America which employed them, sent them to war and then promised to take care of them when their enlistments were completed, specifically the POTUS, NOT doing more to house, cloth, feed and employ the growing number of HOMELESS Veterans in this country?
Yet the POTUS is making policy to bring in and do what SHOULD be done for all these Veterans, most of which were enlisted, to over 75K Syrian Refugees which we as a nation have ZERO culpability for their current status, in the next five years?
And yes it is ALL or NOTHING when it comes to Vets for me. But I wouldn't expect you to understand that being family of the elite Naval Academy Alumni.

Bullshet.
It is a direct result of an ongoing civil war in Syria between Shia and Sunni.
Assad is doing everything that Hussein did in Iraq for over 24 years. The exact same thing. Absolutely nothing different.

Where the hell do you think the government gets their resources to provide services? Taxes. On you and me. Little on corporations. Corporate and big bank welfare. Heard of that?
The corporations who are "people" supposedly, were as protected by vets as you and I.
My dad taught me "you can't have your cake and eat it too". If you're expecting world class health care, housing, jobs etc etc for vets simultaneously, then (another Dad mantra) "you're in for a rude awakening".

Oh so now you are going to blame Corporations for the ineptness of the VA the past six years in improving ALL services for Vets?
WOW!
Figures...

That is the difference between an Academy Grad and a SNCO.
We SNCO's will do everything to take care of our people. Everything. Including ensure that the Gov't fulfill their promises to us AFTER we gave them our all.
EDIT:
BTW Susan, how many of your father's Shipmates are or were homeless or have blown their heads off due to the VA not following through on their promises to them?

NO, they sure didn't. The CURRENT POTUS has by not acting accordingly and lead both NATO/UN into protecting them the past two years.
He has done NOTHING until now AFTER Europe has been overwhelmed by them.
But of course you Gary and the rest of your lot will blame GW and the repubs and everyone that DOES NOT fit YOUR AGENDA.
Huh?
We sure as Hell don't want them in Wyoming.
What's the matter? Afraid there won't be enough sheep to go around?
