For the love of Buddha I've read this whole escapade over the hours as the moon rose and set and you all went to bed and woke up....(yes I have no life stuck here in Delhi land), butt I gotta say two things and I know none of ya give a rats azz though now that dingus has shown up with the Wild West it gets even more interesting...
I gotta go with the two 'nut jobs' here.
Funny though how chief keeps repeating himself ' cuz everyone is ignoring him so he keeps the tick going....
Bruce has made many valid points as does his 'gay' buddy Weschrist ( really WB... You're better than that right?) Certainly some deep issues worth contemplating as a country if you care at all about it.
That rancher doesn't have a pot to pee in IMHO.
The government has some serious issues butt sheesh this one is pretty simple looking at it fairly objectively. I know right?

I throughly understand your point about Jan's comments. She doesn't have to agree with them to understand their motivation. Understanding motivation does not equate to acceptance or approval. The tribe went on a mini rampage thinking she was defending the Bundy Bunch.
I get it. The same thing happened to me when I tried to explain the motivation of Palestinian suicide bombers. I don't agree with that abhorrent tactic but I do understand the motivation. Well that got me blasted pretty bad. I was accused of being a Jew hater anti semite terrorist lover. Hell some of the ST wrongwingers were saying the problems in the Middle East were because of me. Well that was a stretch of imagination from the fetid minds of Conservatives.
So I get it, Jan understands but doesn't agree or support the vigilante mob mentality of the American West. No guilt by association.

My brother just told me about a friend of his that grew up on a ranch in Grand County CO. It was bought by a family that let him caretake for the last 40 years. When the lady died that owned it was sold and going to be "developed". He decided not to live rather than be off the ranch. I sympathy for those in this situation. Many of the ranchers are just living day to day and those that take over have billions. Not sure what the answer is.

He is so in to the projection of American military power that he ought to be cheerleading for the Feds. Seems like he should lap this sh#t up. Why is he so opposed in this case.

In all of my actions involving arrests or prosecutions, i never needed canine units, nor squads of heavily armed forces behind me. In fact in all but one incident i acted solo.
Just wondering how many times Ranger Ron faced armed militias when he was doing his Andy Griffith routine

Buddy's argument does not hold water plain for all to see except for the extreme right wing crowd the has an agenda all it's own to fight for much like the left. The difference is we fight for equality not separation.
I think the left continues to harp on the rights lack of tolerance for others beliefs as lack of tolerance and hate directly correlates when we start talking about the bigger issues. The left does not bring hate inequality and ugliness to the table. The left bring equality fairness and tolerance for everyone even those whom they do not see eye to eye with "yup even you righties"!
When making decisions for the masses a diverse and ever changing demographic and population of people I think tolerance, compassion and understanding are pretty fundamental traits one must be able to bring to the table. Otherwise the rules and laws are being made for one sector of the population. Yeah I know the right would like to be the majority and the laws to be suited solely to them but you are only 49% of the population get it ;)
So the right argues they don't want to pay for the left to have free access to contraception. Ok fine I get it really I do who does want to pay for the other guy. The fact is just as many of us on the left can say I don't want to pay the inflated cost of a health care system that caters to and is built around some fat f*#k red neck being overweight or obsess and all the related diseases that come with it. The fact is you don't hear us bitch about the petty details with regard to inflated health care cost because many American want to drink and smoke instead of take "PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY" for them self and their health. You don't hear us birch about those that just prefer take a pill developed on the backs of dollars spent on inflated healthcare cost by those whom do take personal responsibility for their health. No we accept that that is just the way it is that somehow someway everyone has to be cared for. You can't have your cake and eat it to that is day one stuff that most of us all figured out long ago.
The facts are we all have to tolerate each other. Taking the right for this or that away from the other just because it is our personal belief system will never work and that is not America. The right does not tolerate others ideas or ways of life. The right wants what they want to be marshal law. The left is willing to sit down and find something that works for all involved but that is next to impossible with the right as bigoted close minded people just can't see how close minded they are.
When you use words like gay, c#&%, and or any other derogatory slang it just reinforces that your perspective is based in hate and lack of tolerance for others and that you poses about zero intellect. Why would anyone for one second feel you should be considered when making decisions that involve the masses.
